Jazz, how does one get invited to this. It is so awe inspiring to see so many people collaborating and making music. You can definitely feel the energy. I would love to be a part of this if at all possible. I been a dj for 25 years , behind the scenes stuff, local. What the process?

wish you didn't sell out by using a laptop, you were once a real DJ, Jeff. Now you endorse controllers and allowed the infestation of laptop DJs and sync buttons into a once thriving industry. #facks

This is so dope . . . meanwhile local DJs in my city can't get together for a simple cypher lol they're too busy "killing these lounges" with 75-80 standing room capacity hahahahahh - Thanks Jeff, the true meaning of humility.

So great to see Masego, Lord Finesse and Freddie The Fox amongst others there. All generations of real this gives me hope. I believe music should grow, but legacy is the bedrock of it all and must be exalted.

Dude I've been on Mac since mid 90s!
@doubled96956 жыл бұрын
@@FlyCasual1 I have a $600 Windows laptop that runs Serato and will outperform any MAC hands down. Being an IT Engineer, I know it's not about the brand MAC or Windows. It's about the hardware, components and optimization of your system. So keep paying for your OVERPRICED MACS.
@FlyCasual16 жыл бұрын
Ah, the old Mac versus Windows debate. Dude, you're SHOUTING AT THE WRONG GUY. I use whatever gets the job done. I use a 2013 MBP which is on almost all day every day and has never, EVER crashed. I have Hackintosh machines, Windows laptops, Linux kit, I don't give a shit what the make or model of something is as long as it does the job properly. I don't use an iPhone as I think they are way overpriced and I won't buy a new MBP for the same reason (plus the lack of ports) It's just the right tool for the job. If your laptop with Serato on it works fine, good for you! I've used controllers on a Linux laptop with Mixxx software, worked great! Most DJs use Macs because they are reliable. Are they over priced? 5 years continuous use without a single hiccup? No messing about with Windows audio problems, driver issues etc? If my MBP breaks, I'll buy the same model second hand for £300. To me that's worth it's weight in gold. Each to their own though! Peace.

And? What's your point? All REAL DJs don't do it because it's popular.. they do it for the love of the art and culture and most importantly the love of music!
