Ive bought 2 reels from temu for my 6ft rods ,they also where 24 quid ish. They are verry verry good Had branded reels far far worse, i honostly believe there good i can tell because ive had a few in 30 years of carping 😅

You were robbed m8 I got one of them reels last year off temu for £10.50 and bought an Identical one this year, same size same make for £13.99 from temu. So 2 reels for just over 25 quid what not to like about them even if they only last a season or 2.

After all the credit back I was able to claim back it worked out about a tenner in total,temu has all these weird things hiding what you can claim back on so i want robbed lol but even at full price get something from the UK with the spec your well over the hundred mark

So you're comparing a reel which you use for your angling, to a reel you'd use for spombing?

There's not alot in it these days between a spod reel and a standard reel a spod real has more line clips that's about it but both these reels are actual reels am just gonna use it as a marker reel

Your spod reel should be the best reel in your kit as it does the most work. Personally I've found dirt cheap reels to be a poor investment, I'm not saying everyone should be dropping big money on a reel but if the pot metal guts have turned to powder on your cheap one within a few trips and they let you down when you need them most then you're cutting short a fishing trip and back off down tackle shop to buy the better reel you should have bought in the first place.

I've allready got the full set up in Shimano this was just a find and thought let's buy it to see it,I'll use this as a marker reel as and when needed but if am using the spod what I barely do these days due to boat work then I'll use my ultegra spod, my rod reels will stay as the ultegra xtcs as I won't sell them,the lakes I fish I've mapped every inch so I know where I need to be all year round,but for someone on a budget wanting good reels for the money then these are the ones,we've all been there but cheap buy twice I know as I've been there and am not offended to admit it but you know when it's crap and these definitely are not

@camocarpycuttzy it's a product to fit a niche in the market and I'm sure it'll work fine for a little while and it'll probably outperform some branded items at double the price. This said, it's a mechanical device with moving gears and shafts that rub against each other with tight tolerances and if those moving parts aren't of a high enough grade to withstand the work once the grease has escaped then they start eating each other and the bits that fall off get into the tight tolerances and it all grinds to a halt.

Oh I know that as we know Shimano are old work horses and you won't find better some say dawia but I've had them and personal think there crap and grindy,even if this reel lasts me a sesh or two am happy with that but in reality for a marker reel it only needs to be used very little as I know my waters all ready

@@DjDolHaus86 if you ever open up a £300 reel you will see that there are plastic and monkey metal parts inside, all because anglers want lightweight reels. I bet the inside of these is no different to the shimanos

Its like comparing a porsche to a ford ka 😂 and do you not think shimano put the best washers in for their reels i have 14000xtbs n asked abt em and the reply i got from someone who has been doing it years was dont bother and as for spinning the handle thats pointless

Maybe so but the end result is there still both women's cars,and the ice washers do make a difference sounds like the person who told you not to don't use there clutch and use back wind instead

Am not saying he don't know what he's on about what am saying is some people use back wind as it's better for eliminating line twists others like myself prefer clutch turns that's where the ice washers come in to play as it's only minor adjustments on the drag wheel it's literally quarter turn with ice to a full turn on standard and that's with the plastic washers what come on the higher up shims,most of the basic reels have cloth washers and grease they take alot more turns and are hard to lock up solid

Its cheap because its crap!! How can you even compare that junk to any shimano reel. The reason the price is different is because shimano spend millions on development. Temu one is just a copy of a shit reel made to be worse.

I have 4 of these plus ten spare spools if you look you can get these reels for 15 quid I kid you not. The spools are 7 quid apiece, I use 2 ofc the beach pendlum 7 oz no problems in 2 years my tournament basias were getting on and I didnt want to splash out.Sold the daiwas and bought these annd trousered 300 quid.

I don't blame you bud if I thought they was crap I'd say so but for the price there awesome reels,I honestly don't need to change my xtc's mind but for marker work it can't go wrong
