No one will ever understand that erra, No matter how much you try and tell how great it was. If they weren't there they will never be able to comprehend the 70's! For those of us who were fortunate enough to live the 70's it's goes with out saying those were the greatest days or nights ever! The clubs, the woman, the music, and concerts. During the 1970s, I was age 5 through 16. I loved disco music and this was the first single I ever bought. But I never went to disco clubs (I was too young, plus I only could find rock fan friends, not disco fan friends) and I never had a woman the way you mean in the 70s. So do you think that disqualifies me from understanding the era?

Counterfeit democracy is infinitely worse that counterfeit money, and even counterfeit sincerity! imagine the gold at Fort Knox is actually gold plated bars, rather than solid gold! That paper or plastic documents or whatever, signed by the Treasurer, legally assuring everyone that all is true gold, and guarding that all with heavy guards surrounding that treasury,is really the ultimate Onus Probendi: the Burden of Proof! The greatest display of vanity May be the greatest play of deception! If this guard suddenly aims you at gun point when you try to touch any bar of gold at Fort Knox, not that you would suddenly Grab It to run off with It as your own, but thatSupposed Solid Sold abar were to be exposed as Fake! As some gold plated specimen, falsely mascerading as solid Ag!

We didn't know back then what was to become of these songs. All we knew was the Girl us guys danced with and how we at those tender years came into our lives. I remember my first kiss with a girl from Texas while at summer camp that great summer of 1975 in New Hampshire. I thought she danced great, she thought the same of me. To this song we danced and when we went outside to the sound of this song poured out the windows of the dance hall. I hear this now and I remember her as sure as the sun rises today. What a time.

What I miss about the disco music era of the mid to late 70's is the actual disco clubs themselves. The energy of the music of course and the ambiance of the club, but mostly the dressing up in great clothes. In those days with disco clubs, everyone dressed up, including the guys. I grew up in Montreal back in the Disco days. Every Saturday night, we used to gather up a few friends, as many who could afford it on any particular weekend, and all head downtown to one of Montreal's more progressive disco clubs. There was a French speaking FM radio station that would broadcast the feed directly from this club's DJ booth live over the air waves. Some of us had pretty good after market sound systems in our cars and we used to CRANK it UP on the 30 minute highway run to downtown Montreal. The live broadcast would kick off at 8 PM, an hour that most of us were taking our time putting our looks together for the soiree. \ You didn't want to get downtown too early...not much before 10:30 or 11 PM. Anyhow...The DJ who worked the club (The Limelight) later went on to guest at the famed Studio 54 in New York. Yes, he was that good! He used to mix this song in such a special way that he seamlessly turned it into a signature tune of sorts, lasting at least 10 minutes long. The radio station would kick off the live broadcast with this song, and then later on at various interludes, would use part of it as a promotional commercial break and advertisement for the club and the radio station. It was brilliant. Loved that song...it got in your bones! Thanks for the mix and the fond memories.
