Your absolutely NOT lying. Never thought of that. Especially, since the man is STILL singing and sings BETTER, as well as Him still putting music out. There's a newer song that plays frequently on Sirius XM Heart & Soul station channel 48. Too bad I don't remember the exact title but STILL his way of speaking to The Time remains even in that newer song. Crazy smh. Him & Earth, Wind, & Fire had that effect

70s-80s funk/disco and Bluegrass is literally the only music I ever listen to lol. I grew up listening to a lot of funk and soul, and I’m from NC close to the Appalachians so that explains most of it. I also love 50s doo-wop and 60s Motown. I’m 18 and love to rock out with my record player in my basement every now and then 😄.

Man, I could hear that horn riff forever beginning at 10:18 ... and what great lead in bass at the beginning of the song!

I get that the single was released in December, I heard it driving home from a HS football game in October of '76 (album released 9/28/76) and asked for the album for Christmas, which I still have. So glad to have seen Stevie do "this album" in a 2015 concert at Joe Louis Arena!

His live performance of SITKOL was incredible, I (and my eldest Son) saw it in 2016 at Hyde Park London. I wore the T-shirt I bought at the first Stevie concert I went to 36 years earlier, the Hotter Than July Music Picnic tour. P E A C E : )

I was a kid when this came out and always thought the opening cool bass was actually someone playing "rubber bands" LOL. Favorite part of the song, though.

The musicianship on Stevie Wonder's classic shit would have given Sir Duke himself a raging slab o' wood! It's all too much for my nerves, and I love it!

OH IMAGINE!! Duke Ellington accompanying all of this!! Those horns would really belt it out then!! And then being in Lena Horne in on all this!! I gotta go lie down now! Gotta tell my girlfriend I can’t for a few hours.
