Here’s what people don’t understand about Disco. It’s not the same beat. Disco has multi layers of instruments. It wasn’t the same beat as so many had claimed. This song & many had different beats. I love Disco & all forms of dance music. The destruction of Disco Music was a huge disaster & a disgrace. I seriously wish people would listen to Disco & all Forms of Music again. Seriously, hear the various instruments & drums that are in the music we used to listen too. You would be amazed at what once existed. Enjoy!

I’m not sure I understand what you’re trying to say about the music here. All of Donna’s music invoked emotion. This song was written with Paul Jabara for the movie soundtrack Thank God It’s Friday! There’s another version of this track as well. One DJ was so furious with Disco Music he began a campaign to promote the burning of Disco Records. I don’t recall who he was at the time but, I decided to boycott him instead. I don’t remember his name nor do I care. I spent good money on the music I bought. Who was he to tell me I should burn it. It would like be burning money & why? All because one idiot said too. No! I didn’t either. To me, he should’ve lost his job. If he didn’t like it then don’t play it. After all he was getting paid to do a job & play music.

Relax. It was over the top back then and deserved a backlash. Nobody wants to hear the Rolling Stones and Kiss and Rod Stewart making dance tunes. It had to end. not a bit deal really. Good music always rises to the top.

I was born in 2000 from the age of 2 Id sit by my Dads record player and listen to his studio 54 collection, To this I listen to every single of them. None of my friends knew of anything I listened to until TikTok came out, Im just glad I was born with this music and not the music that my friends think are Hip Hop/ Funk and Rock in todays music. I always tell them nothing beats Disco/Funk and Pop of Late 70s Early 80s.

I will say disco music is way better than the "dance" music today. I've listened to it and all it is the same thump thump to diff songs. Most are just the chorus' of songs played throughout the song and not the entire song!!

Disco Anthem right here, I love disco music it was a beautiful genre taken for granted at the time it was around because of how big and in your face it was but if you listen to disco songs overtime you can have an appreciation of it so many intstruments thrown in and great singers over the tracks. Disco music is a vibe and a mood it puts in you the late 70s and early 80s like no other genre can. Seeing how bad mainstream music has been over the past 15 years, I'd take disco back anyday of the week.

Hey DJ Cat you always know what is in even if the song is from a different generation. You always make me travel back in time to a time in history that was so innocent and the music and artists were under rated. Donna Summer vocals got better stronger and even her vocal range expanded. She could project her amazing voice and vocals. Watch other videos of Donna Summer singing and you can see how far away from her face and mouth the microphone is. She had a really powerful voice and talent to have longevity even after disco. When so many artists from the same Era disappeared before the 70s ended. Every time I hear this song it takes me back to the summer before my 10th grade years and my sister best friend was over to the house watching movies when my sister friend was ready to go home but it was dark and she did live a few doors down from us so I walked her home and once at her house she had to go to the back door because she didn’t have the key to the front door but once at the back door it was so dark she couldn’t open the door so I tried to open it and as I was trying to get the door open I could hear this song playing and the background so I finally got the door open and as I walked passed her she stop me and gave me the kiss of my life so whenever I hear this song I think of Sherry Ivring
