Different times, different people, different era, different styles, different country, very different simpler times. Glad I lived it. We all still had most if not all of our loved ones still alive and well. Time passages. Never to return.

Where were you in 1982!? I know where I was. 40 years ago America was still very great. Reaganomics, Aids scare running wild. 99¢ a gallon gasoline! Brand New car, truck for around $3000 or so. This mega hit and many dozens more blasted out of everyone's boom boxes. Break dancing was the rage. Great times great people great era great styles great cars great country great memories. A much much simpler different time never to return. Glad I lived it.

A great comeback hit for America and their first blockbuster since 1975. The parent album View From The Ground was a fine contemporary AOR Soft Rock album and a steady seller over a long period of time. The 1983 follow up album Your Move fared less well but is in my humble opinion an even better album! Catchy songs from start to end, mostly written by Russ Ballard( also the writer of You Can Do Magic)..America struggled commercially in the late 80s but kept on touring, gaining new fans and keeping the old crowd. Gerry and Dewey are still going strong but its time for a new studio album, guys! It's been 10 years since the all cover album Back Pages, a beautiful album filled with heartfelt performances. God bless America! The band, that is....

What a GREAT SONG! My feeling EVERY TIME I got together with my new love in 1978. We couldn't express our love for each other more than what we did. I remember many plans changed because of a sudden surge of affection ! I was in love and I let it rule my heart and my life. It lasted 40 years until they passed in 2017. Boy was I lucky ! I thank God for putting them in my life. This stuff REALLY does happen !
