As someone who came to Australia at the age of 20 and after 19 years of living here and having my own family it’s still a constant inner fight to feel at home. Home is where the heart is but home is also where your roots are and no matter how hard we try, one day in this foreign land those roots will disappear eventually, so we try to hang on to it for as long as we can. 😢 @karpe this song has touched home. I cried after hearing my language Gujarati in the new song Piya Piya Calling from Coke studio Pakistan as we hardly get representation in Music. I had to find out who this man was and low and behold it was Chirag Patel. I can't believe that another Gujarati is one of the biggest superstars of Norway. As an immigrant (from South Asia) and living in Canada for 22 years, I just felt this song. At times, it felt personal. Only if people knew the struggles that immigrants go through. This is how you unite the music and people around the world. I wish I knew Norwegian (so that I could sing along) but this is truly an amazing story and music.
