Yo Sky, found your channel 2 weeks ago specifically for the dji action 2 videos. Honestly, you were the reviewer that almost made me go for the Action 2... but I'm going for the go2 this season (as well as getting a osmo pocket 2 for low-light... I've been messing with my friend's osmo pocket 1 for around 2 years now & I liked it, also I mostly just take pics with my A7C & A7iii for context so I'm not a total noob) But the Horizon leveling & low-light = Go 2. Especially if we're talking about horizon leveling requiring the Action 2 to go down to 2.7K too... but at a lower bitrate (which this video finally answered since I've been wondering about that... since I'm probably keeping that on 90% of the time). Also, I don't seem to like the skintones any better on the action 2, kinda too contrasty & reddish to me. Sure, overall the go2 might need a bit more contrast & saturation in post.. so out of camera the Action 2 could be better overall. Also, I kind of prefer skin tones on the pocket 2 over the pocket 1 (which I know you like better - but it's kind of too oversaturated/orange-ish for me―I've seen a video where that works great when the subject was facing the sunset though). But hey, people have different tastes. So yeah, for me at least, Ben is definitely pimping ha!

@@huzcer insta360 if you choose pro mode, it gives you proprietary files you have to run through their app. and their app then applies the stabilization. whilst dji everything is done in camera. so the insta360 you have an extra process you have to always do in their app, and export the stabilized video from their app. extra process extra time. but mostly youtubers dont say it, or state it clearly and how time consuming it is. hes comparing software stabilized video with the dji action in camera stabilized video.

I don't think I have ever seen a more one sided review on the internet. I've owned both (and I loved the Go 2 till it was destroyed when dropped - 50 feet) but I would summarise the comparison by saying that if all you need is the Go 2, go for it. If you want something that goes rather further in terms of its features, then consider the Action 2. Choose the tool that fits the job.

It's incredible how much money insta360 has paid away to market it's product. It is so much that by watching KZbin reviews and comparisons I convinced myself that the image quality of the Go 2 was even better than the hero 9. I bought it and I was never happy enough with it's quality. My xiaomi yi 2 (from 2016) in 4k is looking sharper than the Go 2, which really disappointed me. My Go 2 stopped working after a bath on the beach. I can assure you I got scammed by the heavy marketing of this product. Now I bought the A2 and it has many advantages over the Go2, being the IQ the best.

Sorry, don't agree with you on certain points. The color richness and pic clarity in Action 2 is definitely better than GO2 after comparing the footage. The biggest con of Action 2 is the price. In low light situation , it does beat Gopro hero 10. Action 2 use Gorilla glass so the lens won't break as easily as the rest. Someone's drone crashed and the lens were not scratched.

I've seen in a lot of reviews of the DJI Action 2 that it also overheats like crazy. Especially when you're shooting at 4K. As expected. Not tooooo much on less than 4K, not close to the Go2. However, i wonder what the time of record is on the DJI. With the Go2, you can pretty much call it at 10 minutes at a time before needing it to cool down.

it's funny how the cheapest version of the Go 2 is compared with the more expensive Action 2 combo. 32gb is too small so I was looking at the 64gb comparing it with the Power combo of the Action 2 since I won't do vlogging and that's just an $70-80 difference for 4K and expandable storage. I probably would go with the Action 2 but would wait til they fix the overheating issues

If you have a chance to check the uncompressed video from the Action 2 and the Insta360, you'll notice a big difference. Action's 2 video quality is so much better. KZbin compression is very bad for this kind of comparison.

any video FOV can be adjusted in post, its nothing magical. just record in 4:3 that's what go2 is doing. also the action 2 horizon lock stabilization is direct from camera, the go2 you need their app. which is extra process and extra time consuming.

BOTH are amazing cameras, the color settings on both are different, the DJI has brighter vibrant colors but it could just be a matter of settings, the insta go 2 gives you a more realistic pale color which some people like and some people don't, as for performance and audio both did great.

I actually LIKE that the insta360 system requires the app to process out the footage- it's VERY editable and framable exactly how you want it in the app- its very friendly and powerful. Sorry what low light is the same? lol you are comparing a big sensor and same sensor size as the Pocket 2. In my normal laptop screen or even tablet I see a big difference in low light. The Go2 produces a lot of AND A LOT OF GRAIN! While the Action 2 on ISO6400 doesn't have noticeable grain and the ISO12800 is still useable on the Action 2. Image/Video quality has a big difference too. And then you compare the 32 gigs of the Action 2 to the Go2 without discussing the whole package which consists of the touchscreen or power mod. Ofoucrse it's a sponsored review.
