Would these settings be applicable to Action 5? And if I don’t shoot in Dlog can I use standard color? Can you color grade in Mimo app? This is amazing info.😊

@babyboy1971 - You can definitely shoot in standard color. I do that a lot when I just want to shoot something and send it to someone or post it on social media instantly. And yes, these settings are applicable to Action 5.

Are you using any nd filters? also it would be amazing if you can share how you color grade the video

@soloVijesh98 - Don't waste your money on ND filters. It won't improve your footage. I color grade my videos with premiere pro by eyeballing it. Not something that can be taught. I've been doing color correcting on photoshop for over 20 years so this come naturally for me.

Great video! Do you have any advice on shooting in low light nightclub settings at 4K 60FPS with lots of flashing lights without getting too much grain and noise? Right now we have everything on auto - thank you!

Its not that i disagree with the settings but i would add that giving the camera a head start (day or night) by making its job of stabilising easer is a must and also reduce movement for it to 'encode'. Both really result in having the camera on the body so your body also acts like a demper i use a neck strap and the camera sits about 10cm below my adams apple. This keeps camera stable and on eye height so the ground in the at the bottom of the image moves slower/doesn't change as much keeping more bandwidth available for the rest of the image and it gives a more realistic view of the speed you are going.

Would it be the same setting for the indoor low light filming as well?

2kingkong2598 - That would depend if you are going to capture a lot of movements in your indoor videos and how much light you have indoor. I would suggest you use the same setting and lower the ISO treshold to see if the video footage doesn't look too dark.

Log gamma is not desirable for night shooting, in the sense that log gamma handles highlights well, but poorly in shadows, due to which a lot of noise appears. For small matrices, use +2ev values, that is, in overexposure, only in d-log mode.

Hi I did all the setting but noise reduction option only giving standard/off option, not high option. And as the color is set to D-Log M, do we need to process the video? If so then what is the process

@satabdi97 Don't know where you went off on the adjustment that won't let you have option of noise reduction..Mine got + and - adjustment. As for color set to D-log, you need to color grade it yourself, If you don't know how to color grade, use the default color setting instead.

You didn t mention low light image enhancement. Is it off or auto? Also you didn t say anything about rocksteady

When set to 25p mode, you need to set the shutter speed to 1/50. You set the shutter speed to 1/120 at 60p. Not only will too little light reach the matrix, but also the shutter speed is equal at high frame rates. The frame rate is multiplied by x2 and we get an equal multiple of shutter speed.
