Hi there. We would like to confirm with you the stabilization settings and whether you have turned on screen flip. We suggest you show us the video orientation issue you mentioned while snorkeling so that we can better help you. Regarding your statement that the DJI Mic was not recognized or failed to record audio when connected to Osmo Action 4. Please try the following steps: 1. Confirm that after the DJI Mic camera cable (3.5 mm TRS) has been connected to the DJI Mic receiver, a TRS plug icon appears on the OLED touchscreen. 2. Confirm that the other end of the DJI Mic camera cable (3.5 mm TRS) has been connected to the camera’s microphone jack, and check whether the camera screen displays that microphone is connected. * For the camera’s microphone jacks, refer to the relevant camera manual. *If the connected camera has audio input source settings and an audio INPUT (LINE/MIC/MIC+48V) switch, check the camera's audio input settings and switch position (the input source must be Mic and the switch must be switched to Mic). 3. Connect a TRS (3.5 mm) or TRRS (3.5 mm) headphone cable to the receiver's OUT port and monitoring port to test audio recording. If sound can be heard via the monitoring port but not the OUT port, it is likely a malfunction with the OUT port. In this case, please send the device back for inspection. 4. If sound can be heard normally via the receiver's OUT port in the previous step, check if the audio cable connected to the camera and the camera's microphone port are functioning properly. 5. If the camera can identify the receiver, but there is no sound in the video after checking the above steps, check whether the transmitter and receiver gain settings of DJI M ic as well as the camera’s recording level are set too low. If the problem persists, please let us know so we can analyze it further.

great review of the DJI and certainly can hear the difference between on camera mic and remote mic, hear a lot of bad reviews on goPro, short battery life, shutting down, over heating .... sorry but Samsung family here and their current cameras are pretty good too. Last year spent 7 weeks travelling UK and Europe, took DSLR and Samsong, took 6,000 photos, 4,000 on phone !!!!

Thanks, appreciate it! Good to hear, the mics are a game changer for me. Yeah I didn’t have a great experience with my GoPro 10, hence the switch. Agreed, Samsung make some incredible cameras, especially on the zoom range. This year was the closest I’ve come to switching to the s24 ultra. However, I’m in too deep with the Apple ecosystem (mainly AirDrop to my Mac and sharing photos with Rach). Totally understand that with the phone vs camera (I have a Sony A6700). I mainly use my phone but when I want that extra quality (especially with wildlife), then the camera is amazing to have!

@@GeorgeSoan phone v DLSR - When travelling I find the phone useful when inside, like in museums, churches etc, a lot less obvious and discrete, but outdoors I brought out the big guns (I am a Canon fan) for the landscape and townscapes. It's hard to not use the Canon for these shots as I came from the SLR film world. Can't wait for the next instalment of your weekly vids

@@gold4leaf awesome, they make incredible cameras with stunning colours! My backpack would be a lot lighter without a “proper camera”, but I carry it for those scenarios where you just need more than what a phone can do! Thanks, appreciate it. Never tried DJI action 4… I use GoPro. The GoPro makes horrible footage in low light, you have to fix the frame rate, otherwise you end up with distorted images… do you see the same issue with the DJI action?

I use to have a GoPro 10, but had a few issues. DJI isn’t amazing in low light, but it is better than my old GoPro 10. I’m hoping the Action 5 will have a bigger sensor and better low light performance! 🤞

I’ve noticed all the successful video travellers use Sony fdr x3000. Why is that the norm?
