hey Justin I'm from Australia and getting into FPV, a couple of months ago I got the Cetus RTF from Beta FPV. Right now I'm scavenging the internet to try to find a Cinewhoop in stock and with a Caddx camera ( because the DJI o3 air unit is out of budget ) like the Protek 35 or the Iflight bumble bee. All I ask is that you ( my 2nd favourite youtuber ) will make a all sized, Digital and Analog roundup for 2024. Good luck getting to 200,000 subscribers. THX!!!

If DJI brings back the Air 2S non-stacked 1‘’ sensor, Air3S/4 will lose dynamic range and details in shadows. If they go that way, let's hope they grab a Sony 1'' stacked sensor and develop a new fast lens (f/1.7 and not f/2.8). A smarter move would be to keep 24/70 mm of Air 3 and use 1/1,3’’ sensors from Samsung or Omnivision, with 100 or 200 MP and 8K60p output. As an aerial photographer hobbyist, I would sign for that.

I got my drone in February to create KZbin videos and I really hope that it’s not a complete ban off all DJI drones, even the existing ones. DJI is pretty affordable so if I had to stop flying it, it would be really disappointing.

First, I’m an RC guy from way back and a life long Rebel though I’m slowing down , having just turned 48yo. I’ve just recently been getting into quadcopters because, well, they’re are F’n cool and I have Peter Pan Complex… Anyway…😎 So, I love the hobby(ies) and hate oversight and being told what to do by “Big Brother “. That being said, I went and read the Bill of the “ Countering CCP Drones Act(HR2864)” as well as the Secure and Trusted Comms ACT of 2019( the Act whose language HR2864 is proposing to amend) and a bunch of the accompanying docs that accompany these things. There is something very serious this Act is attempting to address and it’s not the hobby or people in it. The three letter “Company “ that manufactures the aircraft and is named in the Act, is this issue. If anyone reads this, go find the documentation and read for yourselves. I’m not saying you agree with those proposing the Bill but I think you’ll get a feel for what they are trying to stop. Sorry for the blah, blah, blah ! - Jason Burchell

I'm so looking forward to the air 3S to come out. It may be my last drone considering the ban. I'm sure we'll be able to keep them since it's already FCC certified. The Senate can also remove the DJI ban from the bill. I'm honestly staying positive until the end. Thanks for sharing JD. 👍👍👍

I try to fly where there aren't any people and I've yet to really have a problem in the year I've been in the hobby. Most people who do see it think its cool or compliment me like I'm some pro pilot lol. Maybe Colorado is just full of cool people.

If you fly part 107 and you make money off your Mini 2 yes you need to register. If you only fly recreational and make no money off your drone you do not need to register your Mini 2.

You should have no issues. If you buy now, they can't come back and say you can't have it. The worse they could do is the FAA could not allow you to fly 107 with a DJI.

I could use a tutorial on what is required to fly nowadays at a field or something that is not an actual AMA flight field. have been flying airplanes and helicopters for many years, BUT since the new laws some of my fields have closed down (big city living) and I have not flown at all since the transponder thing. I can't even tell you how many of us that have flown for many years without incident and out of the hobby.... it's such a shame, and the twice a year public events we used to put on, this sport is so good for families and children learn so much about mechanics, depth and speed that adapts to driving a car, electronics, programming, I mean robotics in a way too... it's such a shame. OK rant over. Glad I was once able to enjoy this wonderful sport.

Me..the Air 3 is the best drone for my needs and use.but all I wish it had is a variable aperture..and I hope the new iteration of the Air 3s or Air 4 will have this feature..yes improved sensor size is all nice of course..but I'd rather have the variable aperture in the wide camera or even both cameras..lol

Unfortunately if the ban goes through the camera will be the component that is banned. So DJI could make it compatible (it probably is already) but with the ban in place the firmware update to make it possible will not be available in the US. You'd still be able to do it through other channels but the OS would be in Mandarin and not English after the update. I've seen a thing or two with the Hikvision ban.

@@willdogs4286 correct. i meant now before the ban. if you can get the o4 camera into the o3 air unit and calibrate it before the ban just dont connect the air unit to the computer to avoid updates. having your rx and flight controller stack would be enough i would think no?

I guess I’m returning my goggles 3 before the 30 days is up. I bought the goggles for my Air 3 but $500 and the drone might be banned and I’m sure our government could have DJI app removed to guarantee we won’t be flying I own two drones, the air 3 and the DJI FPV that’s going to suck if this happens $4000 invested with all the batteries and accessories down the drain 😢

The fact that DJI are potentially releasing another drone may also have something to do with the fact that the US isn't their only market - there's significant market potential in countries that aren't considering a ban for competition and corruption reasons. Another low point for lobbyism and would-be democracy. I'm feeling sorry for my US co-pilots!

Have you heard something about a firmware update that will allow the goggles three to work with 03 systems! I can't wait for that day. I'm tired of switching my goggles. I'm completely enjoying the goggles three much more than the goggles 2. They're more comfortable on my head. I'm able to see the entire screen easier.

They all need to go. They are not leaders. They are our representatives. And I can say, they don't represent me. If we want to get them back in control. Cause they are out of control. We need an amendment that will allow the people to vote them off the island. If there was a simple way to put them on a no confidence ballot and vote them out permanently at anytime, we would see them all walk a very different line very quickly. Take back our representative government, make them answer to us, not us asking what we can and can not do. Those are questions they should be asking us.
