Barry, this is a great video, and really clears up some of the confusion I've experienced when using Flight hub 2. I've looked, but I can find how to switch from metric to imperial settings in the Flight Hub 2 desktop version. Any suggestions?

Glad it was helpful! You are not the first one to struggle with that as it's a bit buried. It's actually set at the organization level. Click on your name and select My Organization. Then click on Organization settings (the little cog) and then click Edit next to the organization name.

Good coverage of DH. I have tried it a few times and just end up frustrated. : )

I tried it a long time ago and came to the same conclusion. But lately I had no problems with it so I think they have been working on it

Hello expert, is there any free app for Phantom 4, specific instructions?
@aviosmedia2 ай бұрын
There are plenty of free apps for the Phantom 4. But to answer the question I would need to know what you wanted it to do.

DJI has announced a change to the free tier as of November 2024 "DJI FlightHub 2 is expected to officially adjust its policy on free quotas for device binding in November 2024. 1. Changes to the allocation logic: Organizations can receive free quotas when binding a device(Dock or aircraft)for the first time. An organization can only receive free quotas once.If an organization has already received free quotas, it cannot receive them again when binding additional devices. A device can only receive free quotas once. If a device has already received free quotas, it cannot receive them again when re-bound to another organization. 2. Changes to the amount and validity of free quotas: The amount of free quotas will no longer vary by device type. All devices will receive 100GB storage space, 5000 livestream minutes, and 3000 mapping images. The validity period of the free quotas is 3 months." Based on that it looks as though the free option will no longer be available after the 3 month initial period.

Absolutely gutted about this. Being free up to this point has been great but now looking at the pricing I’m left high and dry as I’m not familiar with it enough to go out on commercial jobs at the moment. Thanks to Adobe everything is subscription these days. I don’t mind paying a large up front fee for software but really object to subscription models (especially at the prices some of these drone mapping apps are). Great videos though - well delivered and to the point, thanks.

@@CitizenChaz I might be wrong but I think it will only matter if you need to process/store data in their cloud. I think (remains to be confirmed) that this will still allow for planning missions
@CitizenChaz14 күн бұрын
@@aviosmedia I hope so - their wording on the announcement seems very unclear as to what is and isn’t now free.
@aviosmedia14 күн бұрын
@@CitizenChaz I agree. But they talk about quotas which really only makes sense in terms of uploading data for processing. I could be wrong but...since I process my own data anyway, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

@@aviosmedia Yes, but I’d like to see it in writing to confirm! I’m going to have a look at WebODM as first alternative before looking at the paid options.

Compared to DL, what would you say ?
@aviosmedia2 ай бұрын
A great question that really needs a longer answer...but. DL has a lot of advantages such as the ability to run missions on more drones, the ability to view the flight in 3D in Google Earth before flying, put multiple mission components all in a single mission, etc. So if you are flying towers, doing creative work with flights, or want to simplify your workflow to a single button push incorporating multiple elements (map, orbit, video, images, etc.) then DL is a great solution. But, if the only thing you are doing is mapping with an enterprise drone then Flight Hub 2 / Pilot 2 does a great job of that and will also handle much larger maps that DL would struggle with and it happens to be free (as long as you stay within the 5 project limit - note that is projects not flight routes which are unlimited). Hope that helps!
