DJI FPV in 2024 !? - Still Worth it ?

I broke mine last year doing something stupid lol haven't repaired it or even thought about it. I found a replacement for 200.00 and decided to get it......man did I wait too long to bring this back to life! so much fun, no its not a great freestyle drone but its very fun to fly and useful for reconnaissance flights

I don't record with the built-in camera either. I just use it as my eyes in the sky. I attached a mount and put a DJI action 2 on top and what's funny is it fills like my battery time went up. I guess the fact that I'm not recording video on the drone saves some battery power and the Action 2 is pretty light. I got mine unlocked so it's pretty nice to be able to utilize its full performance and have complete freedom with it. Nothing wrong with this drone, it does exactly what it's supposed to do and more . It's annoying hearing these Acro guys complaining about trying to do Acro with a non Acro drone.

I haven't flown mine since summer... Can't wait to fly again, have been thinking of taking it out for a ride the last couple of days but... It's freezing cold in Poland at the moment 😅

Is this FPV drone recommended for beginners? or people who our buying their first FPV drone or is the DJI AVATA a better option?

I use my dji fpv daily to check things around my farm, its quick and can handle ANY winds, limited flight time so it pays to plan your trip a little, frequently go as far as 4 km. I have never used the manual mode but appreciate the 100km/h speed as it makes the whole flight a lot less boring compared to the regular 60km/h. Love the motion controller as i don't even use my phone/tablet for months but can be used to find it if you have to land and it is difficult to find. I don't go away without it, it has been to Europe in travel back pack. I concerned there will not be a drone to replace this one once the batteries become impossible to source.

The original camera isn't bad ! It's just that if You want the best quality possible, than it's just not good enough 🤔

@@SebastianDylag i work with drones and yes, the air and the pro have better camera than the fpv. But for example the dji avata is not that better. And yes obv a gopro is better that a camera on the drone, but I think the camera of th fpv is underrated

I've been using the regular GoPro 11. But if You prefer the mini I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem !

Ive got the FPV drone and agree with you, its safety feature, RTH, the pause button, sensors, oh and you can move the camera which you cant on a race quad , you forgot that! And of couse ability to fly in manual. Ive fitted the 2 arm strutts to strengthen it in evemt of crash , had a couple, they work. Also Ive put a little frame that protects the camera and a lens filter. Its not heavu without the battery ! I record in the goggles and onboard drone and find quality pretty good. I dont want to fly with an action camera on it , same applies with avata...saludos from Spain

Nope, but I'm in Europe, and from what I know it is like that in US/North America 🤔 If You have DJI goggles integra or the new goggles from avata 2, than You don't need to as the GPS is built in 😄

Ciężko mi odpowiedzieć ponieważ ja mam GoPro 11, a DJI Action 4 nie używałem 🤔 choć od innych wiem że bardzo chwalą Action 4. Myślę że pod FPV oba się sprawdzą 😄 FPV już parę lat ma, i teraz pewnie chcą już bardziej pchać sprzedaż Avaty. W dodatku nie zdziwił bym się jakby planowali dodać FPV 2 lub Avate 2 w niedalekiej przyszłości. 😄

Well for me it's a tool that I use to get additional footage for my travel channel sooo.... Yeah, can't really answer that 😄 But I'm sure there are many people who want to try flying FPV even for fun and might want to know which one to get, or if someone already has it they can check out if it's still worth it

Dynamic cinematic shots are done by fpv drones. To say its no longer relevant means to say cinematic content is no longer relevant (by most of it) which is kind a stupid question 😂
