I came across the same problem with our Inspire 1 and since I was not aware of it I was flying at full speed at a low altitude and crushed the camera on the ground, i was able to pull the sticks up and saved the rest of the drone. But damn, I was doing that serveral times with my mavic and it was not a problem at all. Did you find a solution for this problem or dou you always have to correct the altitude manually when going full speed?

No I never did find a solution to this problem. I posted this video on the Inspire 1 owners group on RC Groups and the general consensus was that it was normal to lose altitude at full forward speed. I don't think I agree with their answers though. In full reverse speed it never loses altitude. I had a couple of DJI Phantoms prior to the Inspire and neither of them lost any altitude at full forward speed. I haven't flown it for months as I don't have as much time as I used to. I was thinking of selling it and getting a Mavic as I found the Inspire too bulky and heavy to carry any distance. It's a shame really as it is a lovely craft. How do you find the Mavic ?

Richard Clements well the mavic is awsome, ever since I have it I take it to every trip or hike. I only need one backpack with my camera and my drone, makes live so much easier

That is what I need , something that is easily portable .

Depends on the top speed goal I usually run around 45-50mph with no altitude loss but you need to be smart. Don’t start at 80 feet and then accelerate, im usually at 200-300 feet and drop maybe 20-50 feet and then the drone recovers. Maybe recent firmware corrected the issue. You still need to be a pilot at the end of the day and not assume drone will do all the work. Also check your imu calibration in case angle is being rear incorrectly. This was a 3dr solo issue. Pure hard power on all motors and then you accelerate but also drop Altitude in a nose dive.
