DJI Inspire smoke test with Alt air 4 gas meter (1)

This test was designed to see how air flows over the rotors on an sUAS quad copter. With the addition of a 4-gas detector attached to the rear of the air frame, we wanted to know if the air moving through the rotors comes in contact with the meter or is a low pressure area created under the drone not allowing the meter to come in contact with contaminated air. We found that the contaminated air passing through the rotors does in fact come in contact with the meter causing the CO alarm to sound.
