I just stole a small box of ideas from this video! Thank You sir.This subject really is THE most important subject for creative people. Seriously. We creative types incorrectly think this subject is about our talent/skill level; how well we can write, act, draw, paint...whatever. Anyway, thanks for the video.i am new on your channel..love from Balochistan...you deserve more subscribers

Hey Trevor, thanks for all the great work you do and for sharing it with us! I'm interested in your DJI LUT pack but still fairly new to the game. Are those .cube files? I know I can import .cube LUTs to my editing software but wanted to make sure if that's the format you're providing, before purchasing. Thanks a lot for your help!
@Trevor-Bobyk5 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thank you. Yes in the pack I include .cube files

Great video. Thank you. Just a note, in my experience even with AFC ON, the camera will NOT adjust focus while the video is actually recording. Once you stop recording video the camera will then automatically adjust focus as needed. So, with AFC ON you will never have that ugly autofocus adjustment whilst video is actually being recorded.

is it normal that the render time of a 3-minute clip is 15-20 minutes? and playback is also laggy.

Have you found the footage to be fairly noisy when a LUT is applied? It's early days, but I've done a few test shots and applied a few D-Log to Rec 709 LUTs and applied 10-15 points of sharpening and the noise in the shadows of the footage is terrible. When you exposure while shooting D-Log, do you expose at 0 EV?
@Trevor-Bobyk6 жыл бұрын
Hey Chris! I always try to expose as close to 0 EV as possible. And never overexpose any shots by using zebras even if it takes me down to 0.5 EV or so. However if you go below -1.0 EV that's when I find that noise really starts to appear. The only way to fix that is by using a denoiser plugin like neat video. If you're applying a default D-log to rec 709 lut you shouldn't be experiencing any additional noise. If your shot originally had noise, doing any color grading or adding a lut will just make that noise more noticeable. Hope this helps! :)
@chrisdeantonio14986 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that. Much appreciated. Have you found a good default LUT for D-Log to Rec 709?
@chadjohnson24046 жыл бұрын
I have been noticing this.... noisy in tree shadows. But I’m still a bit more focused on flying vs camera settings. So need to get better at paying more attention to camera settings.
@Trevor-Bobyk6 жыл бұрын
DJI has released a DLOG-M to Rec 709 lut. It's available on their website, it should do the trick.

never use f11 if you have the chance to get ND filters - I understand your reason but that should be not included at all as a "how to step" But I will buy your lut pack anyways :D

OK, straight away, the image quality difference between FOV and HQ is minor, and should be used as a creative choice!! You're choice of f11 as the aperture will degrade the footage to the point it doesn't matter anyways!!

2 dollar off, Come on I just spent 2k on a drone can we get some luts for $10 plz
@shaneth1384 жыл бұрын
I was wondering why your footage looked so soft. Then realized you shoot at f11. f11 is basically unusable.
