I just wish we could edit the dials. I feel that pulling the left dial should raise the gimbal and pushing it should lower it, instead of the reverse like it currently is. Also remapping the right dial would be nice. Would prefer it set to change the aperture instead of the exposure. Also a 1 button camera re-center instead of flipping straight down or forward. I have mine set so it can go up that 30 degrees extra so getting it perfectly centered quickly with the dial is difficult. If it's just pointing slightly down, and you press the up/forward button, instead of re-centering it forward, which is the closest position, it will just point it straight down.

What happens if your phone dies? Is it true that your phone is only a monitor so you can still control the drone without the phone if it died mid flight?

I'm a little late, but its for people who want to use something other than a phone, say an Ipad, wouldn't fit between the 2 handles but you can attach the charging cable to the usb and still use it.

I own both a Mavic Pro and a Mavic 2 Pro. The operation of the exposure dials at the upper right corner of their controllers is different. On the Mavic Pro, when the dial is rotated left of right, the exposure value change continuously and the controller/phone (DJI GO 4 app on a Samsung Galaxy S9 phone) makes a chirping sound as the value changes. On the Mavic 2 Pro, the dial must be rotated fully left of right to make the exposure value change 1 stop and the controller makes no sound when this happens. I'm using the same phone for both controllers. Is there a setting (programming the exposure dial) for the Mavic 2 Pro controller to make it's exposure dial operate like the exposure dial on the Mavic Pro controller?

Great video, but it didn't answer the question I've been trying to find for a few hours, which is does it come with a Type C cable? My phone takes Type C.

Comes with 3 types of cables plus adapters if you need a longer cable for a tablet or something. Lightning for apple, usb c, and micro usb. Though I dont know why they included the micro usb since I've never seen any device, phone or tablet, that can carry a live video feed through micro usb. Just because I've never heard of it happening doesn't mean it doesnt exists lol.

Thank you for the tutorial. How did you get your top right dial to control shutter speed? Mine controls aperture but I wold rather have it control the shutter speed.

Carl Berlin the right dial will control one of three things depending on which camera mode you're shooting in. In Program mode, it controls exposure bias. In Shutter Priority mode, it controls the shutter speed. In Aperture Priority or Manual mode, it controls the Aperture.

It probably depends on the country in which you fly:) The extended ranges will be unlocked depending on your actual position ;)

T= tripod, the slowest and smoothest speed for cinematography type recording P- is called Position and is the mid speed S = Sport mode, the fastest speed for flying also uses the battery power quickly, especially when recording video. Practice a lot before using this speed setting!
