DJI Mavic 3 Pro - Exploring the Snake River Canyon - ActiveTrack Spotlight POI

In this video we do some exploring in The Snake River Canyon. You'll see parts of the canyon that we have not looked at closely before. There was a jet boat going down river, so I used all three parts of the FocusTrack suite, ActiveTrack Spotlight and POI features to follow it. I also got up close and personal with some of the rock formations in the canyon floor.

Looks like fun flying. I'm down the Snake river In Lewiston where the Snake runs into the Clearwater river. The river is backed up from the Columbia river dams and Barge and Cruise ships come up from Portland. I just picked up the Mavic Classic after flying the Mavic 2 Pro for some time.

Hi Marcus, what a beautiful video of the Snake River Canyon, thank you for sharing. I was one of those who thought you would regret selling your Mavic 3, but you sure proved me wrong. I was a bit concerned that the large gimbal of the Mavic 3 Pro would be a problem in the wind, but other videos I have seen with the Mavic 3 Pro in high wind show no gimbal issue in the wind.

Fantastic flight so many highlights. The rock formation and how close you got. Its crazy to think you can do this from a respectable distance away. You can see the value of this technology has to the emergency services. Really enjoy these exploration videos. The best yet, had me on edge at the up close shots. At the same timeI hoped you would show how good the 20+ zoom is up close. Like, can you see the hair on knats legs. I have a need to know, before I order the pro.I have if you remember got all the 2s and M3C and that's all I want. Not having channel, or Web gives more flying time.

Great video I recently obtained my 107 and purchased this drone still learning all of the features. I heard one of them is if you did somehow how a close proximity to an aircraft the software on the airplane will communicate with the drone which is interesting. Obviously not something I plan on needing

With the Mavic 3 Pro, it would be great to get super close videos of the caves on the other side of the river. I know you explored them before, but can't remember which drone you used. With the great telephoto lenses, should be able to get up close and personal. Maybe something to try in a future video.

Loving this drone but I did have a gimbal overload error and the gimbal went nuts yesterday. Only happened once and was fine the rest of the day.

Battery life doesn’t seem to be holding up.. I know the heavier camera loses a few minutes, but would still be a major drop from the original Mavic 3.. You were getting roughly 32-35 minutes before returning and for the pro you are reaching 24-26 minutes

Great video. But next time zoom into the boat as well with the mavic 3 pro. Thats the purpose of having 3 lenses. Otherwise your flight could have been done with the mavic 3 classic as well. Now with your new drone use your 3 lenses all the time.

Thank you! Everything about the RC Pro is better. The signal is better, you have more controls, and they are more precise. The screen is brighter too. 👍

This was just my second battery through the drone. Figure about 30 minutes I'd say.

I can see doing that if in editing you want to slow the playback down, it would give better quality. In normal playback, is there any advantage to the higher frame rate? Kind of disappointing that ActivTrack is so hung up on only cars and people. How different is a car from a boat. How hard can this be? Also, it will follow somebody on a bicycle, but won't follow us on a motorcycle with same reply that you got. The next chance I get I am going to have a friend of mine start walking as I track him, then have him go get on his motorcycle and ride all in one tracking video.
