I thought my new Mavic Air 2 was much quieter than the Mini. I guess the frequency plays a larger role to the perception of noise than the sound pressure. A lower pitch is preferable.

Agreed. The higher pitch is whats really annoying. Like my Air 1.

Air 2 sounds a lot quieter and less intimidating than Mini to me as well.

My thoughts precisely. I have only been around a mini twice but it has a higher pitch and that makes it more noticeable and I guess more annoying for most people. And animals perhaps.

What a wonderful demonstration! Keep it up. Just want to have an advise. I am after with a longer distance flight with less interference. And wind resistance. Because i am surrounded by houses with a lots of wifi’s my mini sometimes gets lost of signal from the remote all the time. Thinking of an upgrade from my mini. Which one is better for me? The Air 2 or the Mavic pro zoom? Thanks in advance for your tips.

I got a Air 2S this summer. Its a lot "nosier" than my old Mavic Pro. But none of them are quiet and very noticeable when flying nearby.

Mini 2 is even quieter.. it is around 64 dB close by and 50-51 10 m away. Mavic air 2 is a great drone but it would definitely attract much more people attantion.

3dB is a big difference. Since it's on a logarithmic scale, that is actually DOUBLE the sound energy.

Thank you for the test! very informative. Wonder if you also has the noise result for Inspire. Yesterday I heard buzz from top sky and there was a inspire flying slowly about 50 meters above. The noise was very noticeable. Just want a drone that can fly without brother other people.

Great sound comparison! Good to see that the sound level in dB(A) is not the criteria of feeling uncomfortable in the near of a drone. It is clearly the frequency area, higher frequencies are remember the peoples on a dentist I think...;-)) Cheers DrDuu

It's interesting to see that at 1-2 meters the Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic Air 2 are pretty much the same but at 10 meters the difference is 4 dBA. I would have expected them to be the same due to the inverse square law. Anyway, it would have been interesting to see how high they would go before the noise they produce basically becomes part of the background noise

Hi I really love your videos you are such an amazing guy :) .. I have a question but dont laugh at me I just get my mavic mini and Its my first drone and I dont have experience and I didn't fully understand the fly zones .. for example can I fly in the green zone ?- I think its nature area-? and what if the zone has two colours green and blue together like ( christiansø bornholm)? And what the highest limit 100 or 120m? I live in vordingborg:) can you help me and give me some tips I will really Appreciate that:)

Thanks, it’s 100m outside the city and 120m inside the city with a certificate (dronebevis) green zones are BL7-15 and you can’t fly here with permission, same goes for the blue ones

I agree that Mavic Air 2 sound quality is the best out of the three. Mavic Mini is a great drone for what it is. The only reason I've also bought a Mavic Air 2 was due to Ocusync 2.0

4:30: This happens when you don't let the drone have enough time to catch satellite signal (notice the red satellite icon). After your drone and RC were on, leave them for about 1 minute until they get satellite signal then you can take-off precisely, without the drone drifting away.

sorry but you are measuring too much windpressure, please do this test again in a closed room :) When flying with friends my M2P is always to drone that is called the "most silent" compared to anafi, Mavic Pro and Mavic Mini 1

My friend bought a Mavic Air 2 and I brought my Spark. Now my friend is new to drones and he couldn't tell that one was louder than the other. I think drone pilots are just really anal about the noise levels.

I love your videos but your audio is horrible. There is no treble in your voice, just all mid range sound. You sound like your talking into a pillow or you're in the next room over with the door closed. I have to turn the sound very loud to understand you and then I get that look from my wife like "another drone video". I give your audio two thumbs down. 😁 Keep making videos.
