Correction: You CAN add DJI care refresh after 48 hrs. You just have to go through an application/demo process to show dji the drone is suitable for the warranty (basically send them a video following their directions)

I don't own a cell phone. I do have an older ipad mini. Do you think that would work with this drone? Will it snap into the holder on the controller? Thanks.

I don't think this will hold in the iPad Mini. What model is your iPad mini? To physically have it mount, you'd also have to get this additional accessory such as these: amzn.to/3B6XjlJ
