Yes finally after two bloody weeks it’s finally working I crashed my drone about 3 weeks ago pretty bad hit and window snapped a propeller and it the floor I got it all sorted and went to test fly it. And it wouldn’t get off the floor so I’m my 30 minute lunch break I came across this video and notice that he was talking about matching the propeller marks to the marks on the arms and realised that my back to legs had to be switched over and now I’m flying perfectly so thank you ❤

I think of my drone props as AIR SCREWS. The flat edge of the prop does the cuts through the air, thus causing the drone to either fly up, down, left, right and yaw. I've been learning a lot about drones and it paid off, when I just bought a mini 2 drone and never ever crashed it at all. I flew it five times so far, but just in the back of my building parking lot, but enough to practice my drone flying skills. I LOVE MY MINI 2-:)

@@2CatMedia The Air Screw idea wasn't my saying, but props were once called Air Screws. They seem to screw into the air, much like real screws that screw into wood. I tried the Canadian Drone exam, but failed it twice. The first time, I reached 63 out of 65, the next time I did it. I only got 57 out of 65. That time I even cheated and still lost it. I won't try it a third time, all because you shouldn't have to learn how to fly an airplane to fly a small drone. But the IDIOTS out there made the drone laws too strict. I can fly my mini 2, but I can't use my prop guards for it. Too heavy under the drone laws. But I still fly around here and there. I don't go too high or too far, but enough that I can get away with it. I hope. So far, so good. lol Thanks for the reply xox

This is all great information to have when needed., I haven't yet flown my new DJI mini 2 SE 🎄but the research I have done tells me, the question of do you really need to change both props if only 1 has signs of damage? That could be a hand-over from the other DJI Mavic drones, as they have prop's which have blades connected to a common hub. It is possible to replace a blade on that type of hub, but not recommended, as it can weaken the prop. However, the Mini uses a different type of prop' set with individual blades. I'd expect the production quality to be more than sufficient to allow you to replace just the broken blade in a pair ... HOWEVER - if the drone has been in a position to damage one blade, it is highly likely that the second blade following close behind has also hit the obstacle (what-ever), and sustained damage. That's the logic in the 'replace both' argument. The bottom line is - are you prepared to lose your very $$$$ drone for a couple of dollars' worth of prop's??? I think it will always be wise to follow DJI's maintenance recommendation. people will also say that balance is the issue, if so why did DJI only send be 2 (props)one each of both rotations not all 8 props? doesn't seem like a smart thing to do seeing as how cheap everyone says they are, leading to the belief it's only a money grab! and if that all wasn't enough to blow your mind, try wrapping it around this......If you get a Propeller Overspeed Warning or RPM too fast message, (different terms for different drones) then the props may have warped and need to be replaced. they may all look perfectly fine so now you have to change all 8 of them? Oh well, have fun I know I will!

A well presented video. I bought a mini 2 a few months ago, They blades look obvious how to change, but more confident after seeing it done. My Mavic Air 2 is a lot easier to change blades. I will subscribe to this channel.👍 I would keek All screws just in case I need then in future.

great video, question though. so those little markings make it easier to identify which are the counterclockwise but my question is, do the little numbers have to match to the ones already on. example: Top Right/bottomLeft/ / top right says DJI E2 4726 FM// bottomLeft says DJI 04 4726 FM....so do the new propellers that are marked E2 go where the E2 props go? i know obvious Q but just double checking
@2CatMedia Жыл бұрын
Thankyou, you can do but as far as I am aware it makes no difference. I think they are there to make it simple but in fact you should be able to put any clockwise propeller on the top left or bottom right

I see you upgraded from the HS 720 E nice to see. I have 1 question, what are the regulations regarding flying in the UK, example do you need a license to fly over 250 grams drone? Also I going back and forth on the mini2 and mavic 2s, the big reason at this time I'm leaning towards the mini is the fact of far less regulations here in Canada then the mavic 2s. The reason I hesitate on buying the mini 2 is well you guessed it, will there be a mini 3 with obstacle avoidance, if you had that would you still have crashed your drone in the first place? Just a point. As far as your video went, I liked it as it showed me something I didn't know. that was the lock tight on the screws so key note, buy from DJI and get the proper ones. Now what other drones do you fly and which one is your favourite?
@2CatMedia3 жыл бұрын
Hi Tassilo, yes I'm glad I upgraded to the mini 2, I know there will be a mini 3 out soon but what can you do. I'm happy with mine at the moment. Yes thee are regs in UK. If it a non toy camera drone you still have to register it but if it over 250g you are limited in flying proximity to certain things. The mini 2 is great for being able to fly mostly anywhere. I fly the mini 2 and some indoor drones but I also started flying a bit if fpv. I currently got the emax tiny hawk 2 Freestyle. So that is interesting. I plan on going digital at some point though with them.

How tight do you actually tighten them? It’s not easy to judge, wish we had mini torque wrenches lol
@2CatMedia3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sean, just remember it's plastic so it's just tight enough that it stops moving. You don't need to force it once it stops put a little bit of pressure on it and that should be enough. Once it tight enough, You should be able to put the screw driver in the screw lightly and try to turn it with just the ends of your finger tips like you are just holding a pen with no effort and it should not turn. I know it can seem like it complicated but simply turn it gently till it stops then a little extra push and you done

I ended up hitting a tree and had to change my props but one screw did not want to come out and I tried everything and end up cutting the prop off to where the screw was exposed then had to use vice grips to take the screw out, now back out flying with no problems but the quick release props would be ideal.

Unlike a full length prop. The mini use 2 seperate blade. One damage blade have no effect on the 2 nd bade balance etc. so imo you have no need to replace the other side if one is damage
