Nice video and epic landscape. I allways wondered , if you happen to go over the rock by accident and loose connection, how the drone will behave, hopefully it won’t go straight into the rock by returning to home 😢
@DadRandom11 ай бұрын
I’ve had that happen several times. The drone if setup in bypass mode will follow the terrain and go home

Clearly the Ocusync4 transmission was not disrupted by obstacles surrounding it given that you flew it down into the ravine with rocks on all sides, which is pretty amazing. Any idea if this holds true at longer transmission distances? If so, for how far?

Outstanding, just smashing and most enjoyable! Question: your ascent to the Summit was in Bypass Mode. Your descent was in Normal Mode. Does Bypass Mode allow you to effortlessly push forward on the sticks never having to worry about crashing into the rocks and did your desent in Normal Mode require more skill on the sticks so that your flight remained just as smooth as going up?
@DadRandom10 ай бұрын
Yes, it smooths out the computer corrections. You can’t feel them (corrections) in the stick inputs though.
@zheshipeng10 ай бұрын
Great video. I am a beginner here and have a question : for the descent trip back, can I just do the return to home by long pressing that button? If yes, you manually controlling it was for the purpose of checking its maneuverability for the downhill part, correct?

Thank you . Good review. Were you avoiding colliding with rocks? Or were you just moving forward and the drone was the one moving away from the rocks? Does flying at maximum speed prevent the drone from colliding? Thank you

Could you make a waypoint mission that you can have take photos at the top. Then fly same mission at a later time take photos etc over and over this way you could stitch those exact spot photos to make your own time lapse or stop motion type clip ,

Probably could. I don’t recommend waypoints in this case

Cool. Was wondering if by chance you lost connection with the RC and RTH protocol engaged while flying high in the mountains, would there be problems because you might be flying close to the rocks but actually at a higher altitude than the RTH preset height? Would the drone immediately try to descend while just feet above the rocks?
@DadRandom10 ай бұрын
No, if you have bypass on, the drone will fly above the rocks towards the home point. It will fly home and figure out the best way to do it. It’s only limited by small twigs, wires and reflective surfaces. Most water lakes would not be a problem.

So basically when I fly my Mini4 in such a tight space, when the buzz sound means even you move your joystick to the direction of the warning oval, the drone is limited can't move to that direction right? I'd tried in my room and it can only move up and down, the oval senses all red.

Yes, the red ovals indicate areas the drone will not go.

+DroneKing 400 AGL in every country pretty much. If you carry certification: US cfr part 107 So if you are on a mountain top: you have 400 feet on the top to work with. AGL= Above Ground Level. For hobbyists it’s 400 feet period.

stressful how with omni directional obstacle avoidance and in plain daylight where contrast is high everywhere it will NOT crash. Doing this at night very stressful doing this in light rain stressful but this no, quit being melodramatic dude.
