4km jeez...my 2mini or air 2 do 10 12km in fcc mode and 6 to 8 in euro one. dji limited rf wattage seriously lately.they could sell that as toys for me.I need serious signal while working

I still dont get why people dont understand that landing in sand/dust/rocks and also grass is really risky considering any mess could get inside of the drone. When you lose connection with the drone for whatever reason, the RTH function is warmly welcomed even in sand - that's for sure - but when you have options, you should always choose better surface OR ideally learn to launch/land the drone from your hand

Thank you for noticing the wind! It was a bit scary but managed to have good control after GPS lock on 12 satellites. The drone did not drift into the trees! 😁👍

Switching off RC in sports mode can be dangerous as Drone sensor might not work and it can crash. Put it in Normal mode and then its fine😄

Dji sensors always work in return to home mode there is no problem if the drone in sports mode

Good question: Satellite lock with internal GPS chip and self-programmed to fly back (but scary test for expensive drone in wind and lots of tall trees 😝).

Do you have turn on a setting for this or can any brand new dji mini 4 pro have this setting? Does it connect to satellites all over the world, any country? I last had a phantom so i am very interested in learning how to fly this like a pro, do you have any recommendations to where i can learn all the features?

Good question: DJI makes excellent tutorials on KZbin and also has website for DJI Tutorials. Make sure you hover and wait few seconds after launch, listen for “Home Point set..” or click Settings, click Safety, scroll down and Set Homepoint. Good luck!

Its set to RTH by default and you can set the RTH altitude. However there are times when this isn't what you want, ie on a boat or in a forest. But yes generally all DJI drones RTH with signal loss unless setting is changed.

Return to home button is helpful if your RC is connected but if RC battery dies or if transmission is somehow blocked the drone will return automatically, cheers! 😁👍

Sorry but don’t have Mini SE but for Mini 2, it works by setting Home Point GPS first, then after drone in air, turn off RC at your own risk 😵‍💫😱😳
