I think I would prefer more buttons that have less to do. Having all the buttons do 2/3 or even 4 different actions depending on button pressing frequency and pattern would be tricky for me. I would end up in that typical spiral of it never doing what I thought it did last time, and I just had it doing that and now it's stopped. Would learn a lot faster with 4 more small buttons with no more than 2 actions each.

Just purchased and received mine..a worthy upgrade from my old OM3. I love the fact that this does not need to balance the phone before turning on the gimbal plus the magnetic phone clamp makes this a really efficient run-and-gun stabilizer for shooting with the smartphone.

Just received my DJI OM5! I downloaded the wrong App, when I watched a video online regarding DJI OM5 instructions the video was clear that I had to download the App that has a black background with white lettering, once I opened it everything fell into place and it works perfectly on my iPhone 13 Pro Max with a thin silicone case.

Hi! I received mine yesterday and tested - yes, it works with an iPhone 12 Pro Max :D I just uploaded a video where I amongst other things tested the magnetic clamp on my Pro Max with and without phone cases :)

I have the iPhone 13 Pro Max and my OM5 has no problem with the magnetic clamp. The Apple logo on the back of your phone is centered, just place the magnet over the Apple logo and you are good to go!

Any advice for using the iphone 13 pro max? I heard it doesn’t support some things… what can it do and not do? Allowed to keep your phone in a case if the magnet gadget holds it? (*not really) Also would the MagSafe charger work as a connector- bypassing the magnetic holder? (*No) It doesn’t support many things and really limits the use… Is there an upcoming update to enable using it with what’s more than likely the most popular phone on the market? Thanks DJI you guys are amazing. Enjoyed one of your Phantoms for years too.

Good vid. My only cons: 1. when you turn it off, your hand is kind of covering the button so I can't see which button you used. 2. folding: I couldn't follow (when this indicator aligns with that switch and...etc.) I had to figure it out myself.

Hello, there. Sorry for the inconvenience. Currently, DJI OM5 only support Lock mode by this method: Press and hold the DJI OM 5 trigger (non-switch button) to lock the gimbal. Release the trigger to exit the locked mode.
