Since you have contacts at DJI, please communicate to them the need to be able to set ISO to 100 or at least 100-200 in AUTO mode. Currently its 100-800 as lowest option and DJI never chooses ISO100 even in bright daylight. Mine averages ISO300+

Been using dji as work cameras for last few years. Just got the 5 , this camrea blows the go pro 13 out of the water, no overheating and shutting down and bug issues at all unlike the go pro . Absolutely fabulous camrea definitely worth a buy 👍🏻

Good news guys I just bought mine and tested great at 4k 60fps with no overheating like my action 4 great upgrade battery lasted 5pm to 7.30pm way better now

true but the Insta360's looks like slightly more detail at the cost only slighlty less brightness. Makes the DJI look like it's trying to overcompensate. I'd still go with this over the GoPro or Insta360. Nice review though!

The night mode is all the A5 has going for it. When it's bright out the coloring on that thing looks downright gross. The GP still shoots a superior picture IMO.

@@nicksangetta8874 i wouldnt say all, but its nice to bring back the internal storage only the Action 2 had, the still upgrades are nice, battery life... definitely DJI's best action camera. And one you can get away with doing quite a bit of stuff with.

Love the facts that besides all the extra bells and whistles in the new iteration of the product, in terms of actual photos and video produced the Insta360 came out on top, even though it wasn't compared head-to-head like the GoPro 13 Pro.

Love the fact you can now link up 2 mics and the footage from the 'Night Mode' was far superior to the other cameras. Don't think they are enough to upgrade from my A4 just yet though. Great comparison video...thanks👍

I am a fishing KZbinr and thanks to you i just found my next action camera to replace my 4 year old gopro 8. So many useful features by action 5 like longer battery life in high res. Pre record to not miss the hookset and that night mode kills gopro.

I've always used GoPro since series 2, but I was currently trying out an Action 4, because the GoPro 12 excluded the option to shoot in 2.7K 60 FPS. What I noticed is that the Action 4 gave me a darker image compared to the GoPro, and I always needed to add light when editing, either to make the image brighter or to reduce shadows. Since I use it to record motorcycle trips, I also found the DJI Action 4's stability to be inferior, especially when moving quickly laterally. Now I'm going to buy an Action 5, because it seems to me that with the new features, these two details may have improved.

Can you please compare night shots between the Action 5 Pro and Pocket 3? I have the P3 and love it. I am seeking an action cam that I can attach to my helmet when I ride my e-scooter at night and it seems I might have to pull the trigger on this one. Thanks for the nice Video! I think i like most of the facts of the Dji 5. The image/videos are better than the GoPro. But is it just me or look the colors much better on the Insta and even the Dji 4? They both look more detailed and especially the clouds on the 5 are much to bright!?

Yeah.. the DJI shoots better in dark while the GoPro is vastly superior in day light. Since I don't film in the dark at night (who does?) the GoPro is still the superior camera in my opinion.

Remember the 13 is basically a GoPro 11 (same sensor) with new tricks while the Osmo 5 is using a brand new sensor. However, I will grant you that GoPro color science is better, and captures a more pleasing image when lighting conditions are optimal, but if you're shooting in log I'm not sure that's true anymore.

@colibrifpv I will admit the GP13 is a steaming pile. Who in the heck wants to stop and change lenses on an Action cam? I can't think of anything dumber. If one is going to go to all that trouble that person is probably already a professional photographer and is not using a gopro. I am still using my GP12 and in good lighting I don't see how the picture can get much better. I just wish the GP and the A5 could have a baby that included the best from both. The coloring and stab of the GP and the low light capabilities of the A5. Maybe we will get it one day..

Is it? It's better than the GoPro, but it's hardly good, is it? The noise is dreadful in the image, with lots of artifacts. Unacceptable when smartphones with smaller sensors can wipe the floor with it.

The Super Night Mode has a really bad lens flare when direct light hits the lens cover pretty much the same as the iPhone. I wonder if it would still happen if you took the cover off or added polarised filter to it. Otherwise I’d almost be tempted to upgrade from the Action 1. Maybe!

The DJI is far too wide for anything other than Vlogs. It’s great to have this wide FOV for some scenarios such as filming yourself but for scenery and anything else subjects look so far and flattened. It would be great if we could get a camera that allows us to adjust the FOV so we can record videos that are more realistic - what your eyes see.

Actually, i have the gopro 12 and tested yesterday the osmo action 5. Clearly it is a good camera but the image quality is much better on the gopro ( you can see it indeed ont the video of flypath). Another point is that the gopro 12 can now be bought at around 289 euros versus 379 euros for the dji 5...

I’d love to see a real-world stabilization test for the Action 5 Pro, especially its ability to maintain a level horizon. We’ve experienced stabilization issues with both the Action 3 and Action 4 when rigged to motor vehicles, particularly boats, while filming boating safety videos. The IMU seems overly sensitive to engine vibrations, and I’ve seen similar problems in videos with cars, motorcycles, and mountain bikes. I’m curious if DJI has made any improvements with the Action 5 Pro. It looks like a great camera, but so far, we've been using the Hero 12 because it handles engine vibrations much better, allowing for simpler mounting without the need for heavy dampening.

Since the old batteries work on the newer camera, will the new batteries also work on the older cameras? I love that they keep the system the same for a few generations of the product, it really helps with accessories and you also get some mini-updates even for the older systems when new stuff comes out!

Why is the water blue at 2:23 and then green at 3:19 ? The OA5Pro is in shallow water for both scenes! It's hard to not believe no color correction is done or modes applied when we see mis-matched scenes like these. Additionally at 3:22 why does the OA5Pro 40MP sensor look so much worst that the I360AP 48MP? Guess we just have to wait for the unsponsored reviews.

I just bought the Action 3 late last year and already they released a 4 and now a 5 Pro! I'm truly sold on the Super Night mode. That was definitely my concern with the 3's capabilities. I'm doing great with the Action 3 but would it be worth the upgrade to the 5 Pro?

Unfortunately, i'm unable to overlay any of the data from garmin connect, or FIT files because there is an issue with the camera that video metadata is 1 hour off, so the mimo app can't find "matching" FIT file data. One of the features I was really looking forward to, but looks like as of now it doesn't work. DJI support said they will "relay it to their team"

Which overlay does dji allow? I’ve never switch out of the GoPro 9 because of the built in gps and easy addition to overlay. I know insta360 allows sync with Apple health data but I’ve never seen people talk about DJI
