Great video! Loved the creative ways to use the camera including the transitions - nice! I truly like this much more than the GoPro Hero 13 Black. Not only for the dynamic range etc. More because of the insane battery life. It's really nice! PotatoJet got just over 200 minutes out of it. WILD!

Great video Peter and so nice edited. But I can see strange artifacts starting in video at 08:10 when you talk about better dynamic range. The palm trees looks so ugly, digital and posterized. Hope DJI can fix that.

There's some HDR glow going on in the palm trees, but being able to expose a shot like that would be close to impossible with a mirrorless camera honestly.

Yeah, i see that too, but try exposing a shot like that with ANY camera. It's impossible with all my Full Frame cameras, so it's actually pretty bonkers.

@@markr041 Lol what? i'm legit standing with my full frame trying to get the same shot. Impossible to have a perfectly exposed subject in the shadow, while still having a perfectly exposed sunlit background. Unless you're using artificial lights, but that's a whoooole other story.

I’m looking for a small action camera, not for action, but for mall walking tours, city walks and walks at night in the city lights. I was about to buy the ace pro but then this action 5 dropped. Do you think the action 5 is a good option for evening and night walking videos? And mall walking? And does the action 5 have jittery effect in low light with artificial lights? Your night (and day) footage looks great! I really love my GoPro 12 for daylight and sunshine footage, but it fails totally at night. Definitely excited to see your comparisons.

Video is incredible!! My only concern is at 8:20 the Palm Trees look HORRIBLE. It’s like the clarity is turnt allll the way up. It has a white glow around the trees as well that is not flattering. DJI needs to fix that before I can consider this camera.

Awesome video Peter! Just curious, I bought the DJI A5 pro (in the US) and i'm having the issue with the time stamp of the files when exporting the videos. The videos when exported are an hour off from actual time and the photos exported have a 4 hour discrepancy. I've tried to factory reset the camera, formatted the SD card, checked that all the firmware and app is up to date, but no luck. Did you have this issue with your files? Maybe it's because of DST in the US?

In just a little bit of low light you will get a jelly effect if you don't have super night mode turned on plus the fottage sucks compared to my action 4. I just returned my action 5 pro after just getting it today......

I used to own the Osmo Action 2, 3 and now 4 and Number 4 is a great Action cam. So i‘m really looking forward to number 5. i read that the bitrate of the 5 is lower then it‘s predecessor. That‘s probably one reason why it needs less energy. But how is the picture quality compared to the Action 4 with it’s higher bitrate?
