AEB means auto exposure bracketing. Not balancing. It takes 3 or 5 shots spread out at different exposures for manual stacking for an HDR pic in post. HDR mode does it for you. But using AEB gives more control over your 3-5 shots so you can set exposure how you like.

Here's an extremely useful tip. If you just bought this item you have to activate it in the app before you do anything else or it will not work at all. DJ I should have put something in there letting people know that. I don't understand why anyone on KZbin has mentioned that very valuable tip!!
@Tvspecialists
@Tvspecialists 7 жыл бұрын
Lou, sorry that we had not included this in our instruction. And you are correct, all of DJI's systems require you to activate the product through the app, and is pretty self explanatory. Once again, we apologize if the instruction is not to your liking. Thanks for watching.

"Self explanatory" he says. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Good one
@Tvspecialists
@Tvspecialists 7 жыл бұрын
Brendan, we are sorry if you disagree with this. Please understand that we are just talking about the activation process through the app when you power on your system for the first time. In depth things, like what we cover in our videos, in most definitely not self explanatory; that's why we do these videos. But when you first power it on, the activation process is, what we feel anyways, a fairly simple step by step process. Hope this better clarifies our previous statement. Good luck and happy flying.

If there's no video feed, then please make sure your app, the camera, and the Osmo handle are all up to date on firmwares. Next would be to make sure you're connected to Osmo's WiFi network. Hi, I've got a question that apparently no one has answered yet - can you livestream to KZbin, Facebook or Instagram usign the DJI Go app? I know that the DJI drones support this, but does the Osmo? It's really important to me, I'd appreciate an answer.

TV Specialists, Inc That's strange, I've asked on their livechat and wast told that it works. Did you use the latest firmware for the camera and the latest version of the DJI Go app when verifying this? Here's an article written by a guy who was able to stream with the Osmo to Facebook: bit.ly/2aDKsw2
@Tvspecialists
@Tvspecialists 8 жыл бұрын
You are absolutely correct. There was a recent update that does now allow streaming via facebook, youtube, as well as RTMP.
@unverifiedbiotic

So, have you guys tried it? Any opinions on the quality of the stream or specific info on the stream's properties (bitrate, fps, available settings, etc.)? Sadly, their support is clueless in this regard, the guy I was chatting with flat out told me he didn't know much about the Osmo...
@Tvspecialists
@Tvspecialists 8 жыл бұрын
The quality of the stream, at best, would be the same resolution that you are viewing on your smart device, which is 720p max. It's also going to be based on the quality of your wifi/cell reception. Hopefully the dealer from whom you purchased can offer you additional support regarding this topic. Thanks for watching!

Not anything against DJII OSMO . Do you prefer OSMO over a Stedicam or Glide Cam. I know that is a project sensitive question but overall which do you prefer. I was considering the OSMO since I have a DJI Phantom 3 but was worried about latency on the monitor wifi. Looks good on here. I am choosing between a Glide Cam and The OSMO Soon
@Tvspecialists
@Tvspecialists 9 жыл бұрын
+The Reel McCoy Productions I'm not sure I understand the question. Stedicam and Glidecam don't have cameras. So it seems you're comparing apples to mangos. The X3 wouldn't compare to a DSLR that you could put on a Stedi or Glidecam, but the Osmo is much more run and gun. Also, neither of those products are powered gimbals so the stabilization wouldn't be as good. When DJI makes the adapter to use the X5 on the Osmo...now we're talking! That's similar to using a Panasonic GH4. Combine that with 3 axis stabilization and you'd have awesome footage!

The information you received is false, sorry. That USB port on the Osmo is for firmware updates. We've always simply removed the microSD card form the camera, and connect that to a computer with an SD adapter, or other forms of adaptation.

Very informative review thanks ! Just a quick question please, can you export a clean video feed via the HDMI, that is without the camera controls and settings, this would be very handy for corporate events and demonstrations. Also can you connect more than one phone/ ipad to the Osmo at the same time. If so it may be possible to use a Phone to control the device and a second iPad/iPhone to stream a clean video feed to a display via HDMI. Not sure if you have any contact with DJI but maybe they might comment on whether this is possible. Thanks. Ray
@Tvspecialists
@Tvspecialists 9 жыл бұрын
+40ftproductions, you could go out of your smart device and adapt to HDMI, but it would mirror. So it would show the full display (controls, settings, etc). Unfortunately it's one to one as far as connections go. But these are valuable ideas that we will pass along for sure. Thanks for watching!

+TV Specialists, Inc, Glad you found the suggestions helpful. If you are in contact with DJI maybe you could add these few feature suggestions to the list. We were all ready to purchase the Osmo but a few key items IMO are missing and would make a big difference to producers and companies looking at run and gun solutions. 1.Better Int/Ext audio, plus controls. 2.An Osmo LCD + App for monitoring without a phone. 3.More Mounting points on handle 1/4"or rosette for accessories. Once you have a mic mounted your options for mounting a phone to control the unit are limited. Also a 1/4 thread in the base of the unit for attaching directly to a tripod. 4.A long life or at least 2 hour battery option. 5.An Auto face tracking feature would be amazing. 6. Dual App Control 7. Clean HDMI output Thanks for the reply and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your product reviews. Regards Ray

The app may look slightly different from when this video was made, but no, they didn't get rid of it. It just may be in a different location from the video. The other thing that might change where to find it is whether or not you're using Android or iOS; this video was done with iOS.

Unfortunately yes, the battery does drain quickly. However, there are accessories available that make it possible to use any other DJI batteries such as the Phantom batteries, or Inspire, Ronin, etc, and would provide hours of use. The "f" number you refer to is the "f-stop" or aperture of the camera. The camera, X3, that the Osmo comes with does not have the ability of aperture control. You would need to upgrade to the X5 series of cameras from DJI.

+sohail nazish Sounds like your smart device isn't able to keep up; lack of processing power. I've tried using my first gen iPad mini with the Phantom 3 or Inspire 1 and the video feed is completely unusable to use as a flight reference. But my iPhone 5S works just fine. It's because my iPad mini isn't new enough, with enough processing power, to keep up.

Hi! Is there the reason to shoot in real 4K on Osmo, and then connect all scenes in vegas pro to convert final video and download it to youtube in 1080p HD? Or there will be the same quality if i will shoot in 1080p on Osmo and then do the same things with vegas pro and youtube 1080p convertation? In which case i could transfer best quality on youtube? Thanks!

+Ichiban Noodles the largest phone we've put in the holder is an iPhone 6+ without a case; that phone won't fit with a case.

Ive been trying to download the videos to my phone but its so slow. ALSO some people are using these in their snapchat. When i download to my phone and upload on sneakaboo the resolution is terrible. Is there a reason for this and any way to make it easier?

+monu gakhal if you dowload to your phone directly, yes it can take quite some time. And depending on the website, it can compress the video file if it's too large.

The panorama photo itself is saved on the smart device itself, and the individual photos are stored on the microsd card.

As far as we are aware, there isn't any other way. The Panorama (stitched photos) photo is saved on the smart device used with the Osmo, and then the individual photos that were used to create the panorama is saved on the microsd.
