That was one of the (if not THE) most relaxing videos I have ever watched. The beat, your voice, the editing style...absolutely chill. I've watched a bazillion YT videos on the Pocket 3, none of which were presented like this. I have one along with every accessory you can find. You nailed all the salient points and then some. Well done!

I've been contemplating buying myself the osmo pocket 3 over the iPhone 13 for the longest now... It's safe to say this video has sealed it for me. I just don't want to make to make a financial mistake because this camera costs alot in South Africa so it's a go big or go home decision. I'll definitely take my videography to a whole different level with this.

I love my dji pocket 3.. I have used this god knowa how many times.. Great investment and this little thing us amazing.. If you don't have one you need to get it now.. The only thing i don't like about the pocket 3 is the cover it comes with because the gimble can rotate outward and i had to get a proper protective case for it..

These two cameras complement each other, but they cannot replace each other. Fx3 shoots much better and has more features. But in places where it may be unsafe or you are too lazy to take a large camera out of your backpack, much less put it on an electronic stabilizer, thereby attracting too much attention to yourself, Op3 is really much preferable there.

How many filters can you stack with no issues? Meaning can you have the wide angle lens and pro mist filter on and if necessary a ND filter? Thanks 👍
@gravel.travel8 ай бұрын
From my experience I don't think you could stack filters as the filter would need to be magnetic on both sides to do that.

@gravel.travel8 ай бұрын
all depends your budget and preferred use. Personally I never once have bought a GoPro and kept using it past one time in water. I’ve never shot on a Samsung galaxy and typically wouldn’t prefer a phone over a genuine camera. Soooo… Osmo pocket 3 I’d recommend.
@leonardmalkowski48409 ай бұрын
Greetings, I just picked up the Pocket 3 creator bundle, and I am really enjoying it, I threw together a sample of the video quality indoors watching a band perform (using D-Log and color graded in DaVinci Resolve Studio). I also used the DJI wireless mic to capture the audio. I didn't include a link to the video, because, I'm not sure if that is allowed. One more note, you may want to check out the Rode Wireless Pro mics, I also picked that up for my Sony A7R5 and it really is some nice hardware, and comes with the recharge case for the transmitters and receiver, long battery life, and 32-bit float (like the DJI mic). The pocket 3 will make a great B roll camera as well as a great just grab and go camera with really nice video quality. Is it as good as my $6,500 Sony? No, but this camera impressed me and the creator bundle was around $700, and I would recommend it.
@gravel.travel9 ай бұрын
Love this perspective and totally agree that it's still not as good as a Sony Alpha or FX camera, but seriously packs a punch for its price/footprint!

Good review. I have accessories (mirroless ,action cam) of all kinds, even professional but on this product I am not convinced, in fact you do the same things you do with a high end iPhone with a gimball, I don't see the advantages, if not the disadvantages, dust, rain, snow ..and sand..are not ideal for this product, and the battery is not removable and you give after a while it will start to lose effifciency....and if it had some problem you have to throw away everything (if not do the care). What advantages do you see compared to an iPhone ? what do you do with it more ?
@gravel.travel9 ай бұрын
For me it’s the portability and that it’s not my phone. My phone gets used for everything else while traveling but doesn’t inspire me to create or capture moments via video. Also of course doesn’t have a built in gimbal to the same effect as the Osmo. It really is a use case scenario and how you see yourself traveling/using cameras. As I say in the video, the best camera you USE is the best camera you own.
@garfieldmtify8 ай бұрын
great video! agreed with all you said. when they add zoom from a distance (remote) that will be super, increase the brightness of the screen for a very sunny day i think it will be even best plus 4k with vertical filming. (maybe it might be just me dunno for sure, the background music while you were talking i felt it was distracting - i liked it just thought your vocals and the music were competing a bit for my attention - sorry to say but thought perhaps good to know:) Your lens filters which set in the 3 you showed in your video, thanks.
@gravel.travel8 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing! I'll be more mindful in our next uploads of the BG music! The lens filters in the set are the Freewell Bright Day Filter Kit! (comes with 4)

Great review! love it, just a question, can you turn off the osmo with the filter? Is it okay? I have a filter too but I take it off before witching the osmo off, if the former is okay maybe I can also do that to drop the hassle of trying my usual routine. Thank you.
@gravel.travel9 ай бұрын
Hey! I've been able to turn mine off with the filters on, it just doesn't spin the camera to be completely covered but it fits in the case and protects the lens still!

I've had mine for about a month and love it! I was going to bring my Sony a7C and a Weebill S gimbal to England (from Canada) sometime this year, but... I'm thinking I could do just about as well with this little, light, compact and superb quality beast!

I like how you used two carmeras to film part of your product review, and how you switched to the wide lens on the whim... How do you stabilize the camera in your pocket while you inconspicuously walk around?
@gravel.travel9 ай бұрын
Do you mean how I stabilized the Sony Fx3 or the DJI Osmo pocket 3? The pocket is built on a gimbal so it’s always stabilized and the Sony fx3 I had on a mini tripod wherever I wanted it!
@galacticom9 ай бұрын
@@gravel.travelI was looking at chest harnesses, etc. on Amazon for the Osmo Pocket... If I wore a bra, I suspect that would stabilize things too... haha... though, that is not an option for me. The harness I saw had a magnetic release, so it can be removed easily. Maybe I am going overboard... What I like about the OSMO is it's minimalism, and if the gimbal is sufficient, then all's good. thanks for your insights.

Nice review, full of opinions driven by experience. But... I wonder : what is "Europe". Would you write "Filmed in South America.", or "Filmed in Asia." ? If you consider European Union, it's an exact total of 27 countries. If you prefer to focus on the European continent, we're in for approximately 50 countries (because it rises questions for some, are they in Asia or in Europe ?). People in Greece have different languages and cultures and traditions from people in Netherlands, and the same goes for people from Portugal compared to those from Poland. There is not "Europe" as a homogeneous block of folks and landscapes and lives and cities, etc. Europe is a mosaic, and you'd better think about it this way if you want your travel videos to have some sense to them !
@gravel.travel2 ай бұрын
I mean “Europe” as in I’m on that continent and went to Portugal and Italy and rather use one word versus mentioning both countries every time I reference it. My husband is European, yet also Portuguese but often refers to himself from Europe. Where are you from and how do you refer to yourself? :)
