If the include variable optical zoom in this, it will be a game changer as DJI has inbuilt target tracking which will create mind-blowing video shots of sooo many things

The Pocket 2 had a quad Beyer sensor and it could use the higher pixel count to zoom in with no loss up to about X2. But the Pocket 3 has no such spare pixels and its digital zoom is the same as cropping when editing, at which time you can take your time to assess the quality. Still, it's interesting to see these tests, thanks.

So basically just shoot in 4K and then you never have to worry about going beyond the 2X zoom. 👍🏻

Since its a digital zoom you could just film normally and zoom in later while watching. Isnt that the same result?
