Thanks for the review! I was laughing out loud when your son said "if you come out the shower clean, why is your towel dirty?" I was torn between just staying under budget and getting the 1 or getting the 2. So many different reviews out there, in fact there is one where the creator came back a year later to say he preferred the 1. ahhh idk

They are both good products.. with any v1 and v2, its about is the extra $ worth the bells and whistles you get with v2 for the persons particular use cases. With me, I hate using my phone with it and the only way to have a mic hooked up on the 1 and playback WITH SOUND is to use your phone. The 1 does not have speaker. There have been numerous times, I have recording 30minutes of video only to find out later that the mic setup did not work correctly and I could not check in the field because I do not hook it up to my phone.. To me, the biggest advantage is the Mic with v2 and the built-in speaker. Other mics on the 1 fail easily at connecting etc, you cannot play back and hear sound without phone so you realize too late. with the 2, the mic syncs right up, never fails, and I can play back just using the osmo immediately in the field to know that it recorded ok. So, if you are willing to plug it up to your phone to playback each time then go with the 1 (it is painful), if not, pay the extra bucks for the 2 and its mic package. To me this is really the big difference. Time is money and I have wasted hours due to bad sound recording, so it has more than paid for itself in the long run. Hope that helps.

@@AnthonyCrouchPhotography SOLD! I agree, I don't mind spending on convenience, I too agree my time is valuable. I have had experiences in the past where something similar happened to me with a "wanna be" GoPro Action cam and hours later I realized the audio was inaudible. Something I could've fixed on the spot if I only the device had worked. I appreciate the reply!

1 IS BETTER FOR CINAMATIC STUFF ALSO 10 BETTER TRACKING 2 IS HORRIBLE AS I HAD BOTH TOOK THE 2 BACK WITH IN 3 WEEKS OF COMPAIRING I ALSO DID NOT LIKE THE SHARPNESS OF THE 2 SEEMED TO MUCH I WOULD SAY WAIT FOR THE 3 AS COMMING OUT IN A MONTH OR SO \ CHEERS
