Considering how well built the phantom 4 is it surprises me how half-assed this setup is. They should have designed a cartridge battery or at the least a basic battery door so the battery can be pulled out without having to remove circuit boards! They clearly had plenty of room in the remote and the battery isnt even blocked by the circuit board like many cell phones. Instead they just made the remote casing mold in a lazy and inefficient manner. The world needs to move towards making devices specifically in ways that promote repairs and longevity. Its just gotten out of hand.

Did you solve your issue? If changing the battery didn't work, maybe is because of the circuit board, you need to change your circuit board or reflow it with a heat gun.

You can replace the battery with a generic 2s LiPo combined with a 2s BMS (Battery Management System). The original DJI battery (aprox. 120 x 50 x 18 mm) is a 2s Lipo with integrated BMS (8.4Volts / 6000mAh), a 2s 3000mAh however is sufficient. A 2s BMS should cost between $1 and $3. The 4 threads of the original battery are paired together for each color (red and black). DIY is possible if you can do some soldering on the new battery, BMS and wires with connector.
