This video was created with one of the first DJI phantoms ever produced. It was the first time I took the phantom out in the open seas. Its just a fun edit of the weekend.
Shot in Bimini Bahamas, this video features epic aerial scenes of Sea Vee boats, historic landmarks of the island of Bimini, and the famous shipwrecked concrete ship. All video was filmed on the Gopro Hero3. Filmed and edited by BMFB Productions.

Donquixote Doflamingo You do realize that he probably removed the gopro that was suspended on the bottom of the UAS. The phantom itself is far from waterproof!

8710ify the baseline dji is far from waterproof its not too difficult to waterproof it aftermarket you can even order one specifically for that purpose look it up its not hard and its not like suspending the camera under a quad is the only option

That DJI Phantom is moving much faster than I thought.....those speedboats are moving fast by themselves but the drone has no problems to catch up with them. Impressive really.....

Phantoms have good signal range, but it takes skill to fly like this. I'm pretty new but have a AR Drone 2 and Phantom 1 and things can get out of hand quickly if you don't know what you're doing haha

i have the phantom 1 and i put a GoPro on it and stuff but if your going to use the phantom for video a lot you should get the phantom 2 cause it comes with a app the links to your phone so you can see whats happening on the camera, from your phone!

Ryan Servatius Yes, that is correct. With the Vision you have the proprietary camera and your iPhone. When filming with a GoPro you need to add your own video transmitter to the Phantom and then a matching receiver supplying video feed to your screen. Remember to always use a different frequency for video and control. Phantom is 2.4Ghz control so most people use 5.8Ghz for video as the aerials are small but range is limited.

free music archive is a great resource for creative common music. A great selection that is expanding everyday just make sure you know the different types of creative commons, some will allow for personal use, student work etc. but NOT for commercial purposes

Epic footage for sure! And have to say great piloting, those were some slick moves. Did you guys have any issues landing when out at sea? Can imagine some potential mishaps out there. Aside from the moments where the props were visible, the footage was surreal. Perhaps crop those sections for future productions and you're golden.

Nice video, did it make you nervous flying it over the water? Any close calls? I've had mine get away from me a few times but that was also when I was first learning it so I may have not calibrated it correctly. +alitt susanto Thanks alitt but this video was shot in 2012 with the first DJI line of phantom drones. They used hobby RC batteries and only lasted 6 minutes of flight time. So yes we had MANY MANY batteries.
