For those of you asking about the GoPro lens distortion: I use the CC Lens effect in After Effects to remove it. You have to tweak the settings a bit, but it's pretty easy.

It is SO SAD that people would thumb down this video simply because a drone was used. Get real people you are PATHETIC. This is nothing but Beautiful video PERIOD. Get off your high horse, drones are not bad, a VERY small amount of people use them badly. Get a new cause, leave our freedoms and enjoyment ALONE! GO pick on a REAL problem. People driving under the influence, now there's something that's dangerous and kills people and anything else in their path. GO PICK on them!

Yes, that's a very similar gimbal for what I was using when this was shot. I did not have any FPV gear at the time, although now I fly with a 5.8ghz downlink and a small monitor and can get much better results.

I do use a gimbal, and was flying a simple brushless one from eBay (Martinez board) when this was shot. Since then, DJI has been awesome enough to equip me with a Zenmuse H3-2D, and my hack-job Phantom has been sitting on a shelf ever since. If you can afford it, there's nothing else that even compares.
