Thanks for the honest review. I think you can be honest and still respect the company that sent them. People will still purchase them if they want an anamorphic look. It's a good way to get into anamorphic without purchasing a really expensive lens for a mirrorless camera, or one that has no autofocus.

Thanks for the video. Unfortunately the wide angle gives distortion not only in the sides but also up and down. Has a little of fisheye effect. The wide angle is not an aspherical lens. Not good for Real Estate vídeos. I don’t understand why Freewell didn’t make this wide lens like they did for the dji pocket 2 with no distortion and actually was wider

I still hate the focusing with this camera. When on continuous focus i can decide what to focus on, foreground or background, resulting in it continually focusing/refocusing, making the footage useless. An example. If I'm i the distance and walking toward and past the camera, as i approach the camera and then past it, it is constantly focusing and refocusing. I don't always want to use active trac k as i don'tt always want the gimbal to move. i just want a still shot with myself moving in and out of frame. Any ideas? Also, the change from blur to focused, or vice versa, is WAAAAAAAY to snappy and needs to be MUCH smoother. My old Samsung s20 does a better job! Otherwise, great camera!

@@whatsnottohike try tap in the background while in single focus, then walk into the scene to see if it focuses on you, and keeps focusing on you You've got to experiment more It's the only way to learn It's what I do every single day, even while sitting in my taxi

May I quote a person from reddit: "When 24fps was adopted as the 'standard' it was the slowest frame rate that cinematographers could use and still look somewhat acceptable. It was the BARE MINIMUM and was used to save money on film which was extremely expensive. There is absolutely no reason to use it today other than because people think it looks more 'cinematic' because it's the framerate that movies are shot in. It's ridiculous. "

Best to shoot in “cinematic” settings with the shutter speed double the frame rate. Will need to watch the exposure/brightness levels and possibly make adjustments.

Hmm…I primarily use action cameras for video. But I think GoPro offers more flexibility in terms of photo settings.

Hey, To clarify, Freewell already produces smartphone lenses with a 1.55x anamorphic ratio, so it's not a limitation on our end. Instead, the choice of 1.1x anamorphic for Pocket 3 is due to the camera's limitation. The Pocket 3 can't handle 1.33x or 1.55x lenses. Our goal is to provide buyers with a functional solution rather than nothing at all. Considering the price, quality, and performance, this lens offers great value in the overall bundle beating any other options available on the market. Thanks

I know this video is about filters but I really want DJI to do something about their long exposure shooting both on video and on photos. This is a 1 inch sensor we should be able to shoot with exposure longer than 1sec. I think this is a missed opportunity.
