Hello there, your video comes to our attention. Could you please try to remove the counterweight and use the upper quick-release plate to mount the camera to the gimbal and check again? We look forward to your reply.

Hello the counterweight is my camera cage and I don't enjoy removing it everytime I'll use the camera with the gimbal, all my camera setup including cage and quick release is only 1.5kg, that's far from DJI's promised 2kg payload. If you watched in the end of my video I tried also using only the camera and the quick release plate that came with the gimbal and it works, but the point is that even if the camera had less than 2kg we can not balance it with other quick release plates that could be more faster no need to rebalance like the DJI's one.

Actually the point of using a mini Gimbal to be light weight, it's really not designed for cage use

@@irishi8462 If is designed for 2kg payload it should not be limited to Cage use. If I can use my camera and cage with my Ronin S why can't I use it with this One? my setup is less than 2kg and removing the cage Everytime I need to use this gimbal is Time consuming.

@@RayLenses The cage and your camera set-up maybe within 2kg promise but the bulkier size it's creating is limiting you from doing the adjustments. Use your common sense. Bigger set-up needs gimbal with bigger room. It's that simple

RS3 is probably best for your set up. RS 3 mini is portable enough to be limited not because of the A7iv but the lenses, and cages.. things of those nature. I Have a RS3 mini with with the A7iv with an L bracket cage pair with the new 16-35 PZ f4 and no problem at all. Oh, and RS3 is smaller than your Ronin S

Hey I came across to this video when I try to solve the overweight on one side of the RS3 mini. I have a bmpcc 4k and a lumix g 12-35mm lens, very heavy on left side. I happened to find out there is products for this specific problem, it’s called smallrig counterweight, several different options and weights to balance out the overweight on one side, side effect is that it’s adding extra weight to the gimbal. Maybe it can help with the same problem you had in the video😊

I came to the same conclusion as you. Quite disappointed that I cannot use my Sony 7IV with its cage and have to remove it to use with this gimbal that is otherwise really great.

I'll give it a try and test it out again I saw that Falcam also have a new accessory for it to help balancing too. I'll check Wich One is better for my setup.
