I'll say this there is a 45min tutorial out there that's very in depth on settings and balancing but your video was only one that got my balance test perfect. I believe this is the ideal way to balance for anyone getting started or new to gimbal's

PAN RE-BALANCE ISSUES READ THIS POST!!! Soooo...I run the balance test on the app (10th time is the charm right?): Tilt: Excellent, Roll: Excellent, Pan RE-BALANCE NEEDED. So I decide after watching about 5 of these videos that I can't be that dense. So, as with all things new and technical, I decide to do the firmware update. BOOM! problem solved!!! Excellent now appears for all three. Ah...I'm not an idiot ...the app told me so! Please save yourself some frustration and do the firmware update FIRST. I'm not sure why not a single video mentions this but that's all it took! I hope this helps at least one other person.

Do you NEED the app for this? I only have a flip phone (love these things, but will automatically hate it if it means to use the Ronin-S I need a Smartphone). It sounded like there was a secondary option for tuning that does not require the app.

My gimbal shakes when turning it on even after balancing it. Comes up with TiltMotor overloaded but it is as balanced as can be following this.

Has anyone had success balancing a Canon EOS-R w/RF 28-70mm f/2 (bulky, heavy lens) on the Ronin-S? The combination is front-heavy, but sliding the mounting plate all the way back causes the plate and/or the eyecup (non-removable) to hit the gimbal.

The video is about balancing the gimbal, not the app... If you've balanced it properly, then simply connect to the app by turning Bluetooth on your phone, then you can go to 'Settings' and 'Balance Test' to check it's all correct. To say this video is 'not helpful' is pretty harsh in my opinion. It's the first video I've found that actually helped to balance the gimbal properly.

This was not helpful at all. The tutoring assumes the gimbal is already somewhat level. I'm using this for the first time and when I mount the camera it goes in at at 45 degree angle.

You assume new owners know how to do the basics, like how the camera support should be attached. Maybe your target market was not a totally new owner of the Ronin or maybe you just need to do a better technical video - I know that's not easy
