Am an ak2000 user. It's not perfect but with months of using, I have learned to deal with its imperfections and am satisfied and I preferred it to the Dji. One of my friend get the ronin S and the SC, I have used them sometimes, and I prefer my ak2000 coz it's easy, very easy to use.

Big advantage of AK2000 is that for standard operation it does not require a phone app. You can NOT use Ronin-SC without an app and you HAVE TO LET THE APP ACCESS YOUR LOCATION! DJI app WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT ACCESS TO YOUR LOCATION!!

Yea it's not quite ready for prime time yet and hopefully they keep updating and improving. Pretty impressive though given the price and relatively smaller brand to have features and compete with the big boys.

@@creativecompositions3747 I noticed every movement was in reverse, which told my the stabilizing gyro in the gimbal and phone were reversed.. I hold my phone in landscape mode., I tried it out, same thing, thought maybe it's a gyro sync thing since everything was reversed, flipped the front camera the other way and boom, works awesome...

Most informative review by far on these Gimbels. I recently found myself in the market to buy my first one and it's just overwhelming. Me personally I'm going to use it 99% of the time to fill myself for KZbin. Maybe one day when the whole coronavirus thing is over and the market picks up I might actually get some weddings booked and use it for that as well. The ak2000 has a newer version call the ak2000s. In your professional opinion if you were just using this strictly for KZbin videos to monitor yourself and use the tracking of course. Would you recommend the DJI or the Feiyu 2000S

Haven’t had any experience with the Ak2000s but unless it is a huge update in tracking ability I’d go with the ronin hands down for tracking capabilities.

I was looking at their site and their latest update does show "tracking optimizations" I gave the gimbal to a friend so I may have to see if I can borrow it and see if it's any improved.

I ordered one on flash sale at B&H based on reviews on other channels but yours was the only one that mentioned tracking so my interest was piqued. Looks pretty crappy based on your tests but given it's a feature that was never really advertised, I can't say it's a deal breaker. But if it was somehow improved or if they continue trying to improve it, that would be just awesome. Good luck to your channel. Liked and subbed.

Thank you for this video on gimbals, cristal clear still I am wandering if I can use my Sony A7iii with my lens 24-105mm G OSS has the total weight is 3,13 lbs, do you think it can work with the Ronin SC ? or I need to use a bigger gimbal ? thanks

Yep that combo is listed as working, the only catch is if you want to use it in flashlight mode you'd have to use a counter weight but for normal use you're good to go!

hi how can I reset the gimbal or something if I get a new lens that is harder and has to calibrate the gimbal again

Nothing special you'll just need to mount it and balance it just like the first time you did with the other lens. After that some gimbals have an "auto" tune function that will micro adjust the motors torque but that is gimbal dependent, some do some don't..

have you tested them both in all modes? which one's better at running at lock mode and paralax smoothness? I consider to sell ak2000 for ronin sc...

I've been playing around with them the last couple days and I feel like the ronin-sc has slightly better smoothness control but looking at the footage without knowing which was which you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference assuming both are well balanced to begin with, the ronin seems to handle not having exact perfect balance better and the ak2000 will vibrate at certain angles.

Judging by the size and weight it should, check out DJI's compatibility chart at dl.djicdn.com/downloads/Ronin_SC/Ronin_SC_Camera_Compatibility_List_en.pdf I do see that function control with the fuji is very limited to trigger focus and take a pic, no start and stop record in video mode.

we have both and as good as the DJI is its rubbish as soon as a bigger piece of glass goes on,the AK2000 copes much better,whats not mentioned is the app for the ak2000 its handy for changing settings on the cam while in use,the thing is both perform well when they do what there main job is,the tracking app is fun when you first get the SC but it soon gets forgotten,the dji is slightly smoother when running around but the fact the the ak2000 we can mount field monitors and mics and radio kits without buying silly priced adapters,if your running a small rig then the dji if your running bigger rigs defo the ak2000

Alpha Recording Studios you make a good point but I'd argue for bigger setups you'd be better served with ak4500 or the bigger ronin-s or something like the crane 3. Regardless for smaller setups you can get great results with both gimbals.

The only nikon cameras they show on their site as compatible are the Z6 and Z7 you may need to look into the bigger ronin-s or the ak4500 for a bigger setup.

AK 2000- I wasn't able to use any of those settings (iso, exposure) - Sony a73. Returned 2 units :( And balancing BMPCC4k - just impossible - almost constantly shaking after while, then stops and shaking again.. Software update - pure nightmare - gimbal was going off in the middle of update. , Buried Feiuy Tech forever

You are serious. I know FeiyuTech do gimbal with more experience than DJI. You know DJI OSMO2, That is rubbish. But they copy from different gimbals then update to OSMO3.
