I think this is a good post because when I first tried to cal the Imu I was doing it so wrong meaning I did not realise that it ment to go on its side I tried about five times until I notice the image was slightly different this post will help a lot of new jacks

AR 23 yes it can be confusing if your use to the old method of leaving it flat.

DJI doesn't tell you the Spark has to lie on its side for IMU calibration and not flat except at the very end when it has to be upside down.

Hi there. I see you know a bit about the DJI spark, I’m having issues with one I purchased second hand recently. The problem I am having is the atti mode won’t go off. I’ve recalibrated the compass and the imu. The drone flies ok and active track is good but it never updates the home position. My drone appears on the map and it has satellites too

Are you using a controller or just your phone? If using the controller is it set to sport? That’s the slider switch in the Center.

Hello dear i have connected sark rc through wifi with mobile, during the flight it show disconnected and i have to land drone manually with rc without footage and agian repeat on/ off process. What would be the issue ? Do i need cable connection within rc and mobile?

horizontal & vertical w/camera towards ground (latitude/longitude) is the correct way - > not horizontal and sideway horizontal. i fly my spark daily, dji purposely misguided first time drone flyers with this incorrect compass calibration ..

Makes sense horizontal and camera down vertical for compass calibration, that's how you calibrate many other drones,

Good Info, thanks. But for me it is not clear about the accelerometer and gyroscope bars. Is a dot only enough or must be displayed a full bar. The same is for compass.

Hi, i just bought a second hand dji spark. I calibrated it multiple times but it is incontrollable. I swipe to take off and it immediatley drifts off. Any tips to get it to hover properley would be very much appreciated.

Having a Mavic Platinum new and recently got a second hand DJI Spark trying to get dji insurance is trying to get whiskey out of a stone. I did chat to a rep who said I have to take a video which is a nightmare why are things so difficult. All I want is drone insurance. Can you recommend another way to get insurance I.e. different company what a hassle. I live in Portsmouth UK originally from Aberdeen please help if you can’t I’ll forget about insurance and take a risk. Regards Irvine

Irvine Forbes yes I have heard of the issues of getting Care Refresh in an exiting drone. Try Moonrock or Coverdrone.

Hello how do I get dji insurance recently bought a second hand spark also have a mavic platinum but having difficulty in getting insurance something about I should have applied 48 hours in advance. Do you have an address where I can get a good insurance which does not cost an arm and a leg. Hoping you can help me Regards Irvine

Irvine Forbes yes you need to take the Care out within 48 hours of activation. If you contact DJI and send them a video of your craft in flight you can take out insurance after the 48 hours.

pawan sharma the sensor may have got jammed. Try knocking with your knuckles on the top, sides and bottom of the craft. It may free it up.
