This thing is insane! A shame it’s so expensive, I’d love to able to have someone on the other end pulling focus and controlling the settings so all I have to do is focus on the cinematography. Then again I should probably find a person first, currently for my mini-series I was holding a gimbal in one hand and a boom pole in the other the entire time 😂

Compared to SmallHD/Teradeck competitors, it's remarkably inexpensive, but it is also DJI and they haven't been known for great customer service if you need things fixed.

@@Loqu4 both of which cost multiple times the price, and I've NOT had good experience on set with Vaxis. It may have been RF interference, but two Vaxis systems couldn't get a client monitor through a single interior wall reliably on the GM shoot I worked on last week.

Does the transmission screen allow you to put a LUT in there? When Josh walked out & you were checking the screen, it really looked like you had a LUT on there!

2:48 It only has an HDMI output or it also has an SDI output; I can use the HDMI output for any video switcher like the Blackmagic Atem series for transmissions. Something summarized would be, Sony fx3 + ronin rs3 pro + DJI Transmission + Blackmagic Atem Mini Pro. Cheers.

you can't really pull focus as it does not include those handles, if you have a 4D then you can use the handles to pull focus. Just got ours today and was bummed they did not include the handles.

At my wits end. I have the RS3 Pro. I have the Transmission and the 4D grips. It all seems to work but the grips are not controlling the gimbal or focus motor. The Transmission recognizes the grips are attached. I tried DJI tech support but they are a joke. Help! What am I missing? Thanks!

@@andersonhughsproductions6689 Not yet. DJI customer service is a joke. Apparently they do not know their own equipment. It’s very frustrating. As of right now, I have a couple of emails from their support department to test out recommendations from them. I won’t be back to my office until Tuesday. I’ll definitely report back either way.

Linking The video transmitter must be linked to the receiver device before use. The video transmission system of the video transmitter offers Control mode and Broadcast mode, which use different linking methods. Refer to the following section for instructions and linking status indicator descriptions. Control Mode 1. Power on the video transmitter. Press and hold the menu dial on the video transmitter until the linking status indicator blinks red and green alternately, indicating that it is ready to link. 2. Power on the remote monitor. Tap ••• to enter System Menu and then Connection Settings. Select Control Mode, set the monitor as Control Monitor A or Control Monitor B, and tap Link to Control Monitor A/B to enter linking status. 3. When linking is complete, the linking status indicator turns solid green and the remote monitor will have a connected status
