DJI Wireless Microphone, Test, Review, Best Setup ???

Please help me decide if the DJI Wireless Microphone produces good enough sound quality for motovlogging

Hi Carl, sound is ok but much better when your visor is up. That seems strange. Not sure if you are familiar with Wheelie Good TV but he posted a good video on how he uses the DJI kit.

Hi Ken, yes the sound is very different when the visor’s closed isn’t it. I’ve “tweeted” both the open & closed slightly whilst editing, but I still can’t seem to stop the closed from sounding a touch echoey. Yes I’ve watched Wheelies vid and he tucks his behind his snood, but I can’t do that, there’s no room in my helmet (big head, plus its too hot here for that … LOL), so above my eyes was really the only other option. I’m reasonably happy with the overall sound and it’s certainly an easy way of doing things. Thanks for watching 👍

I just bought one Carl.....I liked my original mk1 Rode wireless but recently the receiver needs a really hard press of the on switch for it to switch on ( others have had the same prob) and the charge lead needs taping at an angle to hold pressure on so must be a faulty usb c socket. So decided I would treat myself....love all the features about the DJI mic especially the charge in the box bit. :) ....you have only 9 subs to go now to that magic 1K :)

Sounds ok to me that might change as the speed increases I to have been trying to get better sound to do blogs whilst riding

Hi Carl, great video! Quick question. Can you link it directly to the Osmo Action? I though it would be mandatory to attach the receiver to the Action camera

It does sound good enough! Maybe you are using the low cut filter? While it’s good to eliminate wind turbulence makes it sound artificial. Try without low cut filter as well.

Or maybe you are pressing record button on the transmitter and the camera individually…

Hi, you can’t link the transmitter directly to the camera no, you’d have to use the receiver if you want the audio recorded along with the video on the camera. Doing it this way the audio is completely seperate to the video, you just sync them up during editing.

You can link the receiver to your osmo action. However, that will then compromise the camera and it wouldn't be waterproof anymore.

There's anadaptor that you can buy to plug into your osmo action that allows you to run audio s Directly into the camera.
