Awesome video once again. I have a question: for the cases of narrow passages, do you prepare fixed flight routes (similar to rail-cam settings) or some very precise and narrow geofencing boxes so that the drone stays safe away from obstacles? Thank you!

Hi! No - every shot is manually piloted. No obstacle avoidance or geo fencing is used.

Thanks for sharing you'r experience! I see in most shots the drone is flying sideways. Isn't it safer in those conditions to fly with the fpv camera pointed in the direction of the flight? Or this is just because the flight paths are shorter and you're pretty safe doing those shots by flying LOS only?

Hi, most of the time you want to fly LOS to be safe of any obstacles that you could not even see with the FPV camera so it doesnt matter if you fly sideways or not.. Also if you fly high speed and make rapid direction changes it can happen that you see the legs of the I2 in the camera picture. Thats a big reason why I try to point the aircraft nose roughly in the same directions of the main camera when flying fast.

I really wish dji could upgrade their firmware by adding up pre-program flightpath (maybe combination of tap to fly, quickshot and gimbal angle setting alltogether) so that no need to control by pilot and just film myself riding a bike at the mountain..btw..good tips!

@DJI In winter events, where you keep batteries warm?

Keep them close to your body inside the jacket (mavic, spar) or use battery heating boxes (commercially available or custom build). Try to keep batteries above 20° for best performance. During flight they will stay warm as discharging produces heats the batteries up as well.

Nah... nothing special from the way how you move the I2 for composition picture Of course to get a good picture, you must have a balls of steel and experienced operator Just keep safe and distance from surrounding object and people Since my job as a full time cameraman, i already did that kind of shot with my hexcopter and deadcat frame quadcopter with gopro 3 attached on its nose Lol
