the amount of rage my first fight with Erlang gave me. I was screaming for hours. Honestly the game just gets more fun and easier after the first play through. Loved every bit of my time with it. fully unlocked everything and it was just a good time.

Yeah, NG+ was definitely way easier. Not even just the head start you have on stats, though. That second time, you realize just how easy some of those early bosses are. Yellow Wind Sage, for example. On the first playthrough, it took me hours to beat him. The second time, I didn't even get hit once. After struggling on Erlang, every other boss feels like baby mode. The Qi recovery build used in the video is definitely OP against him, though.

I found that The azure dust transformation, the fungi-man spirit, and the fan are the best combinations to get his shields down, apparently with Azure Dust he doesn't seem to know what to do against that transformation sometimes and fungi man increases the might to use it again. Also went with the pole stance because the evade whirl attack stun locks him.

Not that four playthroughs isn’t enough, but it kind of sucks that there’s literally no progression after the third one. On your fourth, you have everything unlocked, max level and the full bonuses from the secret armor. You *coukd* do a fourth run to see how your maxed out character performs, but every run after that is just harder and harder while your character makes zero progress and has nothing to show for it but some more Will lol. It’s a great game even with its flaws, but no point in playing it past a fourth and even that is pushing it. At least in GoWR you can still collect the stat bonuses. Other games still have other factors to keep playing it, though 4 times is more than enough for most I suppose.

@@nosleepforme2242 it's very similar to elden ring and souls games in that regard where you need 1 or 2 more playthroughs to get everything, 3 max for most souls endings and their plussed gear you would end up finding so the replayability to get everything is almost exactly on par with wukong.

Another way to do it: max out mana, use Feng tail helmet for more mana, Gore-Eye spirit for even more mana, pop spell binder, then switch to non able spirit for the passive, full bull king armor (or the alternative wukong armor that gives more defense based on talents unlocked), dark iron staff, needle vessel. And enjoy smashing him. Personally I prefer this cause he’s a fun boss for me to fight, and spell binder melts everything in the game.

This fight was so hard for me until I figure out and saw that you need that fan to melt that extra shield. All the bosses are the destine one, they stagger and even they have their own unique way to deal with it. So both the enemy and the player are playing with the same rules, equality and harmony, that truly is never quite well balance in a few games you see this level of polish.

How is your mana bar going down so little with each spell cast? For me I can barely use about 3 to 4 spells and the whole bar is empty. I max out most of my spells so they take more mana to cast, but yours isn't going down much at all.

You have to play the game 99 freaking times just to unlock everything so you really have to play it a hundred times so that you get to actually enjoy the things that you unlocked... You can straight up one shot erlang in new game+ or aleast get really close or it, one of the last relics allows you too have your clones to copy you. So use fan to break his guard summon clones look for moment to freeze him then hit him with 4 focus attack from all clones

It's even easier if you have a spirit that builds the fan gauge faster and once his guard is broken by using the fan you just stunlock him to death with a Thrust stance swirling strikes until you run out of stamina by the time you run out of stamina the fan will be fully charged again, rinse and repeat and it's possible to completely do it without taking a single hit

Each time you beat Erlang you can unlock a new 6th relic perk. Why haven’t you unlocked them? You should have the Wukong stance after the 3rd time defeating Erlang

Everyone was complaining about some of the bosses being difficult like wise-voice to the point of the developers deciding to nerf them when it wasn't even hard, i beat wise-voice first try before nerf, i think the only bosses that gave me any trouble really was yellow wind sage, wukong's broken shell and erlang and after i started ng+ i was able to beat every boss first try... I'm in ng++ now and i got the best armor set and weapon in the game (in my opinion) the bull king armor set and dark iron staff, with the curios to raise my defense even higher i got over 700 defense and around 250-300 atk (depending the pills i use), using the cloud step spell, ring of fire spell, and life strand spell, i can't die even if i wanted too (jk though not really) 😅😂

There are plenty of things to do in order to finally face this boss and one mistake can lock you out of a whole ending The first requirement is to beat all three secret bosses (there is one per chapter) At the beginning of chapter 2, you fight the two princes. It is vital that you kill the Big one first and then Very big one summoned by the father later. In capter 3 you meet an old guy who needs rescuing after get off the giant turtle. Once you help him he will then move next to the Towers of Karma to seek fire. You gotta use ring of fire to assist and then you will be able to face a monk also in the same chapter You then want to move to the great Pagoda where you will see that depending on which boss you defeat, the paintings on the walls will change until you can talk to an NPC. This NPC will open up a portal through one of those walls to get you to that Boss 😮‍💨

you must do the secret quest in chapter 1-5 before fight wukong in chapter 6...and its very long...if you can do all secret quest..you can enter the pagoda secret wall and after that you can go chapter 6 ans get the true ending...do it for 3 times true ending and you can get everything

I have done 2 playthroughs both with different, 1st i defeated 2nd prince, then 1st pricne 2nd i did father first, then second price and then 1st price. it doesnt really matter. Only requirement is secret area completion - chapter 1,2,4,5 and cchapter 3 spell binder quest. in the great pagoda there are 7 protraits total, 5 of whicch are above mentioned, 6th is erlang, 7th is wukong

Bout to start this fight later I know I’m torturing myself but running spell binder has made me insanely good at dodging and the satisfaction of cracking bosses for 7k damage on crit heavy attacks is just too satisfying I don’t care about one shotting em plenty of builds for that but learning attack patterns and dodging every move like I have fuckin ultra instinct is so satisfying also coming from elden ring and trying to figure out the s in this game had me ready to uninstall it lol elden ring is extremely forgiving with the time you have s wukong took git gud to a brand new level

For reeeeal I tried using spell binder on NG+7 and almost every single mistake means death. I do believe Elden Ring is more forgiving with its mechanics and overall more balanced. I can’t tell you how many times I wish Erlang would just have a stance break after receiving too much damage. Trying to attack him while he has 1/3 of his life left is very hard given his 30 seconds combos and very tiny punish window
