I recently purchased this mixer along with a pair DVJ-X1s. I know technology has changed quite a bit since these devices came out, but how can I record the video mixes I make using this equipment and how do I connect it to a monitor? Thanks in advance.

love the fact that this video was filmed in 16:9 and this mixer is 4:3. it have been released at the wrong timming.. video was changing a lot!

its optimizied to use the dvj turntables (the dvj 1000 and dvj x1) for video mixing.

i agree but i think this is seamless as vj'ing gets. i know what u mean about reading the crowd, but think once u get comfortable with the svm ull be able to keep ur eye on the crowd too;0)

Yep Im sure. They were released in combination with the SVM-1000. You can see the display, it's way to small to be a CDJ-2000. And I dont think CDJ-2000 have the blue lights in the slot. Besides, this vid was uploaded almost 2 years ago, so coudlnt be a CDj-2000 =)

Are you sure? they look pretty close to CDJ2000's. However I haven't seen DVJ1000's either so you're probably right.

This should be just a 'controller' to connect to a PC/Mac. With some nVidia Quadro cards and a good CPU you could do Full HD or even 4K with ease. You could even mod it to add features.

All these super clubs are about manipulating your mind (of course there are drugs involved (90% of the clubbers are on Ecstasy or something harder)). Anyway. Until now it was "only music", now the DJ can control both audio and visuals, giving him/her full control. And as you can see this mixer perfectly automates all the tones with the videos (speed, color, brightness etc..). I love it. And the best of the best. U buy 1 of these and in two weeks you can be the best Dj. Problem?: Promotion. Peace

cant stop evolution mate jeje, audio plus visuals is far better, and by the way the mixer does not do all the work didnt u watch the video? i guess its a lot more difficult cos u have to be a dj and a vj at the same time, oviously the Pioneer SVM-1000 helps a lot with the video THIS IS THE BEST MIXER EVER!! cool video efects while u play with the audio afects, whish i could aford one of those!

Ireally dont know how i feel aboutthis thing, im a solo dj, and everytime i try and pair up with someone they cant keep up w/ the visuals. this lets me do it all myself, i totlly agree that some of the effects are bit tacky if overused but pioneers like "fuck it, while were here lets over do it". I wanted to just get the dvjs and then have like an edirol v4 hooked up but i NEED to be as portable as possible.

The truth is any other reasonable protable setup just cant do what i need to do, i dont want to get midi controllers and map my crossfader and get seperate preview monitors. even the most popular, edirol v4, can olnly do 2 channels. i think the learning curve on this thing is as steep as the price, but if its tastefully done i think it can make for one helluva good show. i do hip ho, so idk what this does for the house/techno crowd, but my crowds have been demanding video for a long time.
