Can’t hear this without crying. My dad has never been affectionate and I’ve never heard him say I love you. However he has had my back and in every part of life. My dad is the same way but being young I didn’t understand. I was so angry at him and said things to him that you should never say to your worst enemy. I don’t know how he could forgive me I don’t deserve it. I made him step out but he never turned his back on me. Took me a long time to understand the struggle he went through raising a family. He’s 69 now and I’m glad I figured some things out before it was to late.

Conway started as a pop singer. He had some hits, most notably, 'It's Only Make Believe.' You should give it a listen. When pop changed and rock started taking over, he switched to country and became a country icon. So very many great country hits by him. My mother had them all, from his pop career and throughout his lengthy country lists. He's definitely worth a deep dive.

I met Conway when I was a kid. The internet has tried to scrub it, but he actually had a mobile home sales lot in DFW in the early years. I'm not sure why they try to scrub that. Peace, Love!!
