Another thing that wasn't mentioned at all is how good Mister's progression is done, and it won't be fully developed until a bit later on, before they lose the bunker. Good Choice. I've managed to amass 18/20 over three years. However it'll be easier for you as most of them have been released. Also you should be okay, but check Vol.6 Chapter 'The Two World's' as I got a misprint of 'Haikyu' meaning i had to wait a least three months to a year for a reprint. If you've got the New SJ Jump logo you should be fine. Hope you enjoy the journey.

Haha I like how you incorporated that Forest Temple theme in the background for part of this, very fitting! I have heard a lot of people mention that besides Minerva's phone call and the obvious character development, this arc is kind of stand alone in terms of the overall plot (you touched on this a little too). I know there's really no hope for a season 3, but do you feel like if there WAS, this would be an arc that they could sort of fit in anywhere with some minor tweaks? I feel like the concept is super interesting and clever and they could have approached it in so many ways in the anime, its a shame they didn't at all.

Well as a DJ, music is so monumental to me the Forest Temple just seemed to fit in so nicely when I added it in in that particular section of the video. You asked a really good question. If there was a season 3 so many elements and what's being thrown at us now with the story seems to "Avengers End game" plot that taking us to Goldy Pond would just make no sense even if they change or speed that Arc up for the anime. Like I can sorta see something if they made Leuvis the "true" thread the entire time, but then I would ask myself "well why the hell was he just chilling and murdering children in a safari garden when he can have the luxury to do whatever he wanted"? I will say if did get 3 seasons, I would have preferred them making half of season 2 dedicated towards Goldy Pond with an overall 24 episodes vs the 11 we're sadly getting to quickly end the story.

The protagonists in the first episode of TPN see their sister killed in a back of a truck. And they watch as demons pick her and talk about eating her. So I don’t really see that much of a difference here. Edit:the reason that they are use guns is the defend themselves. Not mindlessly kill anyone. They could have put a disclaimer with the violence or done more to ensure that things won’t get to that point.

I agree with you. Also the anime is rated R-17 so 12-13 year olds shouldn't be watching it in the first place. (With the way they changed the story the R-17 rating for s2 is unnecessary because it doesn't count as horror or thriller anymore.) I doubt a 14-18 year old would go out and shoot everyone they see just because they saw kids defend themselves with guns in an anime that has a fantasy world setting. It would have been enough if they change how the guns look so kids don't associate them with real life guns. There are guns in the manga that don't look like real life guns so they could have just used those in the anime (the one that Emma is using or the one they use to break the demons masks).

The anime wanting to wrap it up in 2 seasons is the only theory (on why they removed goldy pond arc) that makes sense to me. There are plenty of violent anime that kids with guns in anime would be nothing alarming. Or maybe they simply want to deviate from the manga somehow... @@DJMilez Goldy Pond is one of the 4 major arcs in TPN. Grace Field House, Goldy Pond, Cultividatala and the final season. The children escape grace field house at chapter 38 yet Goldy Pond doesn’t end until chapter 90 making it the longest arc in the series (I believe)

When I saw that they deleted all Goldy Pond action.. I was so, so, so dissapointed. To be honest I stopped watching tpn season 2 at episode 7, because I just don't know if I want to watch it to the end. Goldy Pond chapters were my favourite and I was hoping to se it in anime.. but uhh they just deleted it- how sad..

As a manga reader of the series: that was the only thing I looked forward to when I heard about s2 being in process to be animated for the series. It was the only arc besides the prior ones that were good. And genuinely- while I don’t know if the mangaka and writer were rushed, the series writing took a massive turn for the worst.

How about a cute little 6 year old girl who thinks she's going to be adopted getting stabbed, slaughtered, and harvested, and ehem, eaten, as her siblings who thought they were just living a peaceful life together in a foster home watch in horror, only to realize they're being raised as cattle? I feel this argument isn't as strong when the story has been not too far off in how dark it started off, featuring the idea of humans being eaten, and somehow that being considered less horrifying and violent than gun use, or the arson in S1. Not to mention that it's barely even possible to get your hands on a gun in Japan, especially a child, (usually only a rifle, in certain places, after getting a very meticulous license from what I hear). Guns are not portrayed as something exciting or great to use but as their tool for survival, especially when they are being hunted, and I'm not even sure why this anime suddenly gets this kind of treatment when there are other modern anime that feature guns. I can see the U.S. censoring this kind of stuff with kids and violence (see the Legend of Dratini episode in Pokemon that never aired in the U.S. for pointing a gun at a child's head), but Japan seems like an odd choice, especially when they don't seem to mind more violence and sexual themes/characters in even childrens' TV shows than the U.S. Again, not to blame you, but I feel whatever reasoning the executives had, it's pretty flimsy. (Plus, on Hulu, S2 is said to be rated M. The Shonen demographic is a little strange to be honest, as it really tends to focus more on teenagers and even adult themes more than younger or preteen boys.)

Other possible reasons they cut Goldy pond and I'm not quite caught up yet on season two and haven't finished the manga ALSO MILD SPOILERS FOR THE MANGA Goldy Pond inflates the cast After escaping Goldy Pond Emma's group jumps up to over 50 people to keep track of in scenes. (Which allows for more child death to keep things climatic but also you lose a lot of faces you don't know.) Emma's family from Gracefield is already a pretty large cast to where I wouldn't expect anyone to remember everyone's names but still remember their faces. Also while Yuugo and Lucas are really cool, the main focus of the show is Emma, Ray, Norman, and the kids. This is probably why they ultimately got rid of Yuugo and Lucas cause we can't have very capable adults hanging around to help the kids.

Since I am like two years late.. Noone's probably gonna read this.. But I am still gonna share my thoughts... Like after I watched tpn season 1..I went straight to the manga because I have heard rumors about the anime adaption of season 2 ruining tpn.. Then I tried watching season 2 after reading the manga..I didn't have much expectations.. BUT EVEN THE LOW EXPECTATION I HAD WAS CRUSHED.. Look..When I heard they ruined tpn..I thought it was like maybe bad adaptation, bad animation, bad voice acting, bad directing or slight changes..Maybe some small scenes cut(Like u know how they cut the scene of the kids falling into the pit in s2ep1or ep2..Like that was such a small scene..so it was ok) I DIDN'T KNOW THEY'D CUT ARCSS!??!? LIKE EXCUSE ME?? Usually when reading mangas..I do not get fight scenes(Like i dunno wats happening)...So I am just as clueless watching fight scenes in anime adaptation as anime watches are..But TPN was the first manga..I actually understood what was happening in the fight scene..AND I WAS SO LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS ARC BEING ANIMATED EVEN IF IT WAS GONNA BE SH*TTY! But I didn't know they'll just remove the arc as a whole T_T

the fight on goldy pond was so freaking lit it's frustrating i will never see it animated. actually, it's not only the fight alone but the whole character development of the kids. lucas and the kids on that arc (i personally love jillian so much), the reunion of lucas and yuugo and the five demon families (correct me if i am wong if they were five or what since its been long since i finished it). manga emma is definitely the best emma between the two. she is so badass in the manga and they did her so dirty.

Loved the video. I have to say the manga looks 1,000 times better than the anime. Also, I think the only salvation the anime has is a cliffhanger ending at Goldy Pond. Either 1) Emma is captured and wakes in Goldy Pond and the anime ends teasing S3; or 2 (and the one I personally prefer) is that all the conveniences seen from the pen happen, the kids then end up saving Phil and the other kids, Grandma Isabella is blocking them from the "Human World" entrance, the kids manage to defeat Isabella and they flee to what they think is safety only to discover they've been led straight into Goldy Pond, ending the anime with a potential S3. In S3, if i were the writer for this "original anime" I'd have Yugo in a cloak immediatly saving the kids from demons who attack, but some of them die in the altercation anyway. Emma, Ray, Norman and the survivors flee and Yugo explains what's going on. From then on, S3 would be manga-adapted content only, but obvi3usy tweeking spots since Norman is already revealed to be alive. Oh and I guess have Isabella still be alive? I'd feel like having her dead would suck as she's a fan fav in the anime, but too many villians/bad guys isn't always good so, yeah, I guess I'd keep her axed out. 😅 Lol, as a writer, I tend to change bad stories into what I think is best and go on a tangine. Sorry, didn't mean to for this. 😅 Anywho, there's only a few episodes left, so yeah, a Goldy Pond cliffhanger ending is the only savior to this anime. If not, well, cancel it and have it remade. Or just don't bother. Or ill just rewrite it, I don't mind. Lol.

All of that sounds great, but the anime somehow leading them to Goldy Pond would just be backwards in terms of the narrative and where its currently headed. Considering how rushed season 2 has been, at this point I feel like it can only be redeemed by them wrapping up the series. The damage has already been done and I would find it appalling and somewhat insulting if 1. they gave us a season 3 and 2. they decided to butcher Goldy Pond as a result from it. But thats just my two cents, we'll see what happens in these final episodes and where they decide to take the story.

Some of the Lines from Emma in that arc really showed that this was an excellent story at its height. This is the studio's fault for giving space for only 2 seasons, because of it, you could only grab the most important parts of each arc, and as amazing as Goldy Pond sounds like, the whole purpose of it was the training and the call, which are already covered in the episodes in which Sonju trains Emma to hunt. If they gave them 4 seasons, I would agree it was disrespectful to skip this arc, but under the circumstances the studio put the screenwriters in...they had no other option. But to the manga lovers out there, don't dismay; tere is a live action on the way, and it will surely cover more than the anime.

I stopped watching with interest after episode 3 when Yuugo was nowhere to be found and the swat team arrived with guns within the same episode.. I knew then that they were gonna squeeze the entirety of the manga into just 2 seasons. I literally stopped watching all together after episode 7, saw the suggestions about ep11 on YT, gave it a watch, felt sick to my balls. Manga fans won't be complaining about Emma's ending now like they did when the last chapter released. I liked it then, still like it now.

So in japan, in attack on titan they show a 10 year old child with a knife killing and murdering people and in season 4 a 12/13 year old girl use guns and kill people and a particular person too but they dont make an arc of 12 year old kids using guns in tpn? Thats bullshit! Gabi is 13 and was shown using guns and dynamites. And like i said yuugo and lucas were adult so they couldve been included in the show too
