What’s crazy is I live in Pittsburgh and was visiting a buddy, and you were the DJ that night! Now here I am watching your channel 😂

This is just such wonderful advice... I nod my head slowly as a complimentary double-take... just so nice to see a good enterprising spirit giving such sound advice... oh... I just saw that... pun not intended! Thank you, Happy New Year 2025 DJ Nick & his fans!

Always bring your own stuff and backup stuff. Be The Ball!!!! LOL, JUDGE ME, club gear at the clubs in NY are usually beaten to death and partially dysfunctional. Have fun trying to entertain with JUNK!

Kind of glad that clubs arnt big here in south Louisiana. It’s more bar scene, where we all bring our own controllers or whatever to play on. Most of the time we provide sound too, but that’s a whole different discussion. Haha

I agree it's insulting to our craft . I just play for myself, friends and family. I'm retired and no longer work in clubs .And I've noticed the last few years on social media, these fake DJs and kids and toddlers and grandparents DJing but not really doing anything except touching knobs and buttons and smiling and lip syncing the music it's embarrassing. I'm glad that people are picking up the interest, but for goodness sake, practice, and be real . I also think that there are so many average Joe's,(non djs) doing this. Everyone is a DJ nowadays joining record pools when they're not really DJs and this is what pissed off the record labels. I believe this is why we're no longer able to use stems with streaming services. I liked it the way it was, and not what it's become. . everything has gotten out of hand. Just a few years ago when I told people I was a DJ they would think it was interesting, but nowadays I'm embarrassed to tell people that I DJ, because these punks make us look like fools.

I’m from PA, Weddings are traditional, but not behind on the Music.. I’ve attended many weddings in NJ Sayerville, Linden NJ and they were very basic. My nephew and his Wife had a DJ for their wedding. He was the Brides cousin he was from NJ. Tell ya he had so much Dead Air all night long, it got to a point I went up to him and asked him what does he do for a living he said he’s a Professional DJ for Clubs, Bars, Weddings in NJ and Philly, I had to tell him straight up he sucks. The one song the Bride and Groom wanted to hear was the Traditional Polish Bridal Dance, he assured them he had it. Well he didn’t have it so he played 3 polka’s then the Brides Great Aunt came up to dance with the Bride he throws on Metallica Enter Sandman on. I couldn’t hold back again I told him I couldn’t believe people hire him. I think all northeast is a very Traditional Area not just PA.

Good video but I kind of disagree on the bringing your one controller with to clubs because in a lot of clubs the house equipment sometimes be trash or really beat up or something broke and not working so having your controller with you will save your life in a pinch every time!

Nick what do you normally charge for a 4 hour club gig? No equipment to load, just bringing in you and your laptop. Thanks and thanks for these videos.
