It helps to edit hi-res footage as proxy footage, that way the computer doesnt lag during the editing process, once you're done, it exports it at full res

You could compress it with a codec before editing it. I'm pretty sure most raw footage is uncompressed and that's why the files are huge and laggy. You could probably use a nearly lossless codec and just completely fix all of that and still keep virtually 4k/8k quality. You could record 8k and compress it so it still looks as good as 4k

@@DJPain1 💯 i usually don't bother with the proxy thing when editing personal stuff which is under 5 mins or has less cuts, but when editing something larger for clients like feature films with lots of scenes, gotta do it lol. Reminds me of my music workflow in a way, many times my vision of the finished beat can't be done with my laptop hardware, so I end up bouncing certain tracks that I'm happy with to audio so I have more overhead for navigating my session without getting the "System Overload" message.

Older people know, back in the day busyworks was the only one who was making beat tutorials. I used Logic Pro so I wasn’t really watching his stuff and he was more on the selling side back then rather than free game. But it’s crazy to see how different the game is today on KZbin. Lots of things that were obscured and being gate kept are free and flooded with content now. In every facet of life not just beat making so to see the growth is crazy. Busy works still about it tho so gotta give him props.

Dude what's driving all the beef's in the producer community is ego plain and simple. Ego's like this BWB dude you got here. He says he tries to keep the peace, he's the one instigating the fights & harpooning on significantly tiny channels compared to his. But the way he's starting his beef's (which he cries victim over) is simply malicious one-sided accusations with no actual facts or proof to back it up. If that wasn't bad enough, he then gets into making the weirdest analogies which really say more about him and his own insecurities than it says about anyone else. But the way he stretches to race bait ppl is just disappointing. His takedown video aim'd at Weaver Beats was simply beyond pathetic. Weaver never made a point to go out of his way to rip on BWB. His name barely came up because Weaver's content is commentary and news on and in the producer community, and IT VERY CLEARLY comes from a satirical angle. Honestly I thought he was a lot nicer about BWB than deserved. I used to think BWB seemed like an alright guy, but if you go back and look it over, despite pushing a million followers the guy cannot handle the slightest bit of criticism. It's like dude look at ur subs, you won, why tf are you even giving af. His content could be so much better if he actually loved himself instead of putting on his strong face and pretending he does because he's impervious to insecurity. Before you make a take down video of me BWB, just know that you don't suck as bad as Ave McRee. I post one critical content of Ave during one of his grifter listening scams cause after he had ppl waiting hours in line down-right gave them the boot to the back of the line to the highest bidder. Hey make that bag, but that grifter never stated anything about the ppl waiting would get the boot when more paying ppl came in. So yea, I thought it was mad effed up he kept dozens of prodecers on deck thinking they were in line, some waiting from the very start of the stream, only to get practically ghosted once the viewers ticked up a little bit. I called him out for how lame it was, and he went off on me AND HAD HIS STAN'S comment all over my videos threatening to kill me, my kids, and the rest of my family to the point that youtube turned off comments for all those videos that I had posted at that time. I just make music for fun, I really don't care what especially Ave's Stan's think about anything I make, but threatening my family and I & trying to dox me is way over the line. DJ Pain, you're downright a cool and fair dude, and your content has been far more rewarding to my knowledge and craft than both of those guys above that I spoke on. I for real wouldn't have anything to do with either of those guys cause they're just toxic nacissist. Their content isn't even in the same league with the actual contents of DJ Pain 1 content. Keep up the good work & plz don't ever stoop to the level of BWB and Ave.

When editing high-resolution video, like 4k, I have found that it is best to use proxies for a better editing experience. A proxy file is a lower resolution of the raw video so that the GPU can work more effectively especially if you don't have a high-end graphics card. Your editing software will create this proxy for you and use the raw video for the final export. Check your settings in your editing software to see if this is possible with your program.
