The issue with Finn is not really an issue to be aired on KZbin , i would not have done that in my business. You cant ask him to explain himself hes one of your best workers. They allow you to film them while they are working, this alone benefits you in many ways . Got to take the good with the bad sometimes.

Always hit the like button. As far as employee, always take them aside when talking with them about a problem. On alarms I think of the time I need to wake up right before going to bed and I wake up 15 minutes before time I wanted to wake up. If I use an alarm clock, I set clock across room where I have to get out of bed to shut it off. Great video guys.

I think that yr a very fair but firm boss dave to yr employees no question. Alot of companies could learn alot from you.not everyone can manage people, but you do very well, a happy workforce is a productive workforce, and that's why yr lads will stick with you for many years credit to you and stevie.

Good work guys, I always put timber skids in those type of pallets, beam to beam stops the pallet collapsing with the weight.

just put it on top of a standard 40"x48" pallett before racking....but the smaller pallett on top prob put it overweight.

I've worked at several places where they said they valued employees but really didn't show it. My current employer runs 24/7 and asks for 50hrs a week on avg but doesn't get salty if you need a day off during the work week within reason. Nice to see an employer reward hard work, which I can tell you from experience landscaping is hard work.

Finn is a great lad, I had a lad at my work which he did the same he has not done it since as we took the piss so much. Just have a quick word if it is once, if it keeps happening hit him in the pocket . Wednesday is my day off so have time to watch the Wednesday specials. Keep up the great work 👍

Hi D and J, ouch Finn ....normally very chipper so you could tell he was proper gutted .....youth does provide a very selective memory at times ...😊🙈 I'm sure he made up for it later 👍🏻 The new racking does tidy things up nicely and easy to see what stock is left. With those resin bags .....I'd of hand balled each one down off the other pallet ....but David is a very good forklift operator. I wish I lived closer I'd be in that bargain corner for sure 😃😃. definitely to heavy a load. We used to have a very similar racking system and we put wooden cross bars in with some stops screwed underneath that made it a lot easier to load stuff

On your racking where you had the dodgy pallets you need to have some leg protectors, noticed you had some buckets of some description there. Also some beam locks to stop the bars from being lifted out, you may have some in there but i could not see them.

Seems as if the resin pallet was turned 90 degreees compared to the load characteristics of the rack…..palllets must always stand with the forces through the blocks on corners and middle blocks; never landing on the boards on any rail

When i worked for the blacksmith he was a one man band and i was always at the unit before he would get there and on some occasions i had to ring and ring and ring him until i woke him, in the end i told him if he doesn't get me a set of keys cut I'm gunna pack the job in and look for another job safe to say he got me a set of keys cut, i was sick of waiting outside for him to rock up and motivate himself to get started where as i got there got the forge lit and everything set out before he thought of opening his eyes.

Hi to all at d&j,so on finn being late,if he or anyone else tbh was late alot then a stern word and maybe warning but if its every blue moon and they are a grafter then how it was dealt with it today I suppose,come on dave you need to get that ashville top off and get a d&j one on ASAP,yard is looking great,inside also looking good,gotta say atleast Jamie owned up to the pallet I've known people to do the thing and they still haven't owned it,I'd say the problem aswell as the weight is the pallet was to big and not a normal size pallet so it was sitting on the weaker part of wood instead of the corners which are stronger obviously😬look forward to the vlog with dave explaing the pros and cons of business,cheers guys🙂👍
