I just got the HA i73 one ... I've been using the focusrite scatlitt 4th gen ... Im selling the scarlitt now lol ... The i73 sounds great. The plugs were a huge surprise so to me its worth the $650 for the pro one ... Idk about the pro 2 edge $$$

very cool. Do you fgeel it has the neve 1073 vibe to it? How do you feel about the lack of inserts or I/O options?

@@diyrecordingstudio well I am used to less ins and outs cuz I just do voice work really. But. I would have loved an output trs or xlr specifically to a compressor or something. But. I had an Apollo Solo and this blows it away cuz the preamp is awesome. Plus you get up to 4 dsps on top of it. But as for sound. I found it. I was going to build a lunchbox but I'm like no cuz I use plug-ins more than my old outboard gear. Cuz once you screw up your input you can't change it. With a 1073 on the in there is no screwing it up. Hope this answers your question.

Yeah awesome. Glad it does what you need it too. It would be a great little unit for voice work. Makes sense.

The AI Lawsuit is feeling very similar to the Napster Lawsuit, feels like it's a monumental moment for the AI Generation. Can't wait to see how it turns out, also gotta get the plug in just for the capybara

also maybe gotta get that beat as well

Just because its at 12 volt doesn't mean that's what the circuit is seeing, You can use voltage multipliers to achieve this as long as you have the proper current.

Interfaces now days are really sterile, so I do appreciate when companies try to do something different but the price is sometimes just way too much compared to the price for the parts needed to assemble the damn thing.

Not likely to update Waves here. They do have a couple of plugins I still use like Clarity, Silk, and BB Tubes but I rarely use any others. As for the Heritage stuff, I could see those being used for an on location kind of recording situation where you don’t want to bring a 500 lunchbox, or maybe for someone just starting out with no interface or gear at all.. but that makes me think would that person even know what a 1073 brings to the table in the first place. I think a much better long term investment would be to pick up a less “boutique” interface with ample I/o, which you could then add a 500 series lunchbox to, and then add modules or build some yourself. If you wanted a more all in one the Cranborne R8 would check interface and chassis off the list straight away, but I still think one could pick up a used high quality interface, a used chassis and some great modules to fill that lunchbox with for $1800 usd. So many options!

JHS made a big deal about this being an original design. Is that because all their other pedals are clones? lol

Waves new update doesn’t support my OS anymore, so Waves is on it’s way out from my system 😂

The Neve things is quite ridiculous in my eyes. I see the same thing with Fender. These out of touch legacy brands trying to break into markets with "premium" products when in all actuality, they're average at best.
