It really is an awesome mixer. However, its old. I'm pretty sure QSC will be releasing a new version soon. There are also other digital mixers out there. I hear Allen and Heath have a good one. Either way, if you have the cheddar then get a digital mixer.

Tip you can set the customizable buttons to manual feedback for quick kills

That's a great tip! I'm always learning new tricks with this mixer. This video covered the essentials, but I'm planning a follow-up that dives deeper. Stay tuned!

gerat video... i have had the touchmix8, along with the A&H 10, Mackie profx12v3+ and yamaha MG06x.. and out of all of these, i mainly use the yamaha MG06x because of how convenient it is... i had the touchmix8 for a over a year and it's been sitting in its case untouched lol maybe now after this vidoe i might consider taking it out

I’m happy it inspired you to give it a second go! Spend a little time with it and I know you will love it. Digital mixers are awesome.

Everything is great with this mixer, just wish I could connect a router. The mixer is never to able to connect to mine even with the recommended adapter.

Are you using the auto IP feature?
@iancrear103225 күн бұрын
@ yup! It’ll just be searching forever with no connection. The dongle works flawlessly though. That’s why it’s so confusing. Hopefully the supposed team finds a solution for me.

@@iancrear1032 have you tried just a WiFi connection with the dongle? I prefer wired but it connected right up to my portable WiFi. And got right on when I got it.
@iancrear103213 күн бұрын
@@JoeyMcDonald-v7tthe WiFi dongle works fine, but it disconnects after being too far in bigger rooms. I ended up fixing my problem. The mixer is very picky about the Ethernet adapter and chipset, so you have to make sure that chipset is in the one you choose. The one I happened to pick on their list originally must not have it anymore, but I found one that works so I’ll probably grab a couple more to have some backups.

If your TM doesn't have the ethernet jack you can buy a USB to Ethernet and then plug it into an external mixer

I just got rid of my Allen & Heath Qu-Sb for the Touchmix 16. The one feature I used constantly I was tools the QSC could do but now I can’t find it… the ducking feature… so it will mute or reduce the music when I talk on a mic. I have 2-3 events a year that this is imperative. I have a call into QSC but nothing back yet. Do you know if it’s possible on the Touchmix?
@djtechtips18 күн бұрын
From what I understand it still does it.

@@djtechtips I finally got an email from QSC support and it does not have channel ducking and no pl s to add. That sucks!!! Looks like I have to go back to A&H.

@@JoeyMcDonald-v7t That really sucks. I'm looking to try an A&H digital mixer. Which one would you recommend?
@JoeyMcDonald-v7t11 күн бұрын
@@djtechtips I had the Qu-Sb and it was great but at times I had issues with my router and that gave me pause so I was looking for one with a direct and remoter interface. If the CQ-18T has been updated to do ducking I will go with it but if not I’ll be stuck with the QU-16 or Sq Rack. I use the SQ series at church but the price point it too high for what I want. I eventually want a Danny Max Edge rack series so the CQ or SQ rack would work but the SQ is way more horsepower than I need for most events.
